I don't think they'll really combat "used games" without pissing off gamers... though gamers are the one buying used, which from my perspective, at least from where I live - new releases, used... are what, 5 bucks cheaper? Is that really worth it?

Well, I personally got ME2 for 20 bucks. Would've never gotten into the series if that game was $60; I just bought it on a whim, and because a lot of people said it was good.

That random purchase actually made EA a lot of money in the long run. I got one of the DLCs for ME1, all of the DLCs except for Arrival on ME2, and all of the DLCs except for Omega for ME3. I also bought ME3 new. Not too shabby.

Well, it wasn't 20 bucks till when, a while after?  I understand a month or two (if the price goes down to like 40 bucks), but a week or so after, the 5 dollars less for something not mint, doesn't seem worth it, IMO, haha.

Eh, not every game interests me on its realease. I usually have my ear to the ground to find good games. I usually get really quality games for 35 or less, and I just have to wait a few weeks.

No.

Yes.

Sort of. When one of the big three solves thumbstick tilt will be a genuine improvement. Playing NBA 2K is a pain when the guy automatically starts running out of bounds once you let go of the stick.

My stepbrother frequently complains about his wrists hurting after holding his PS3 controller for a couple of hours

I guess it depends on the person because it doesn't affect me as such, so it doesn't matter to me one way or another.

Ergonomics are a pretty big deal. Both of those controllers have a different feel.

Very much.  Hell, even between the weight of PS3 controllers, you can feel a difference that can alter your experience.

Second hand games explained a bit more coherently, no fee for playing a game at a friends house. If you sign in on your account.

Still, no used games. No more trading games in, no more buying used. Just pointing this out. Will have no remorse for people complaining once they buy it and figure it out.

It seems I missed a few pages earlier about everybody fawning over the xbox one's fans.

That's why I think the X1s controllers seem sort of weird. Like they added a lot of weight to the top.

Yep.  I can't play fighting games on the Xbox controller, feels wack, while the PS3 feels fluent for me.  It's all preference on your hands, etc.

I guess E3 will be a deal breaker for a lot of people, in terms of what Microsoft wants to express, in terms of games and what they want to move forward with. How many of these exclusives do you think will be "Kinect"?

The Patriot Act in a box

Privacy is supposedly a top priority for Microsoft despite Kinect having to always be on and always listening. That sounds convincing. I'm convinced.

I'm really not convinced.

That's actually a tad bit unsettling.

I think it's scary as hell. Privacy in your own home is very important to everyone. This device kills it.

I'd say atleast 5 would be Kinect, some would be Halo, Gears, etc and the rest would be new IPs

And that supposed "paywall" regarding fees or whatever reminds me of somethingawfuls paywall to even view threads on their website.

This is so creepy, remembers me of Assassin's Creed II when you can listen to a call from a customer to Abstergo saying that he found a secret channel where all his information was kept...

It was pretty obvious. And I'm sure the "global" scale will be fewer than thirty countries.

Apparently, you just have to sign into his xbox, to have your buddy play your purchased game, lame, I know.

Angry Joe brought up a good point:

If a friend wants to borrow his game, that friend has to pay a fee on their X1 before they even know it's something they want to buy. That's awful.

Nothing will matter, trust me - people will buy this console in hordes.  I know a lot of people who prefer the Xbox, just for the sports titles, so they can chill and play with their friends at a party, or whatever - social aspects and it's a huge crowd.

As a person who lives in Ireland and receives 25% of the apps on current consoles than people in America, this is unsurprising.
