Totally agreed, my virgin media TiVo box does everything the Xbox one does - apart from saving me the 1 sec it takes to press button rather than 'talk' to TV - plus it also records, stores, has series links and most of all doesn't use as much power as a game console. It also doesn't have a camera that watches and listens to me all day

There is so much to hate about the reveal but for me it's the forced kinnect. It's pointless when the remote does it. There's ease of use/time saving then there's a feature for lazy people, this is the latter.

I just envision stories of couples having sex on couch and either camera gets hacked or there body 'movements' change channels and cries of 'oh, God' lead to lots of Xbox ones changing to religious channels.

Of course. You do NOT in any way have to use Kinect currently. As for Kinect 2.0, it seems you still don't have to use it, you just have to have it on. Point it at a wall or something. Better yet, point it at a poster of a nude man eating a sammich.

On Facebook, you basically have people saying that the X1 is barely a gaming system, with supporters of the X1 saying that the people saying that are just poor and should move out of their moms basement.

The situation is pretty civil, all things considered.

I encourage you, via word of mouth (writing text ) to make it a definite no. Don't support this garbage with one penny. I never owned a PlayStation...but PS4 is an absolute definite. My 360 was good but times and consoles have changed. Don't buy, and encourage others to put their foot down, too!
