Video on how to fix the keybindings PROPERLY without hack job or switching from your normal keys
It's pretty easy to do. The only thing that doesn't get fixed is the over cover grab, that doesn't seem to be fixable.
Edit: This is for splitting the spacebar up. It sadly doesn't fix the in-game keybindings bug. You can thank bioware for that.
Note: You have to EDIT the file to get the keybinds you want. This is for people who like to split the spacebar up.
For the research oriented:
The talon merc has custom keybinds because whoever coded him didn't have a clue what they were doing. This mod ports the _merc variant into the main file. What seems to happen in game is that when you go into a match, it reads the values from the file for the merc, and sets the keybindings in your save to it. This is so it saves your keybindings for you at loading screens.
However, the merc doesn't read the built in keybinds at your screen/in your save for some reason. So you should just hard code the file's one to what you want and ignore the in game screen for keybindings. This was tested by entirely removing the merc's settings and seeing if it defaulted to the standard ones, and it did not. The keybindings page was blank, which means it's entirely ignoring the keybindings page. The merc was not able to be controlled beyond simple cover/turning/shooting.
Research into the pcc did not yield anything beyond the fact that it is all named differently for that character.
