I don't think there is an Aussie server, it's just Origin/EA that's down. It'll come back..eventually..hopefully they decide to do some major upgrading before their shiny new Disney/Star Wars games come out.

Whatever is happening to Origin made it utterly impossible for me to sign in here for about the past hour (kept getting a "cannot connect to authentification server" error.
Yeah, it was frustrating not being able to log in to tell her that I, too, could not log in. Paradox and all that.
I may end up going silent again, depending on if I am able to log in again on my work computer in a little while.

Are you saying someone left the servers unintended and unmaintained for so long that alongside dirt accumulation and the static discharges the continuingly running servers caused a new biosphere to evolve in the enclosed server room that somehow led to the servers to develope a biological component that led them become a sapient entity?

Just checked and Origin is working fine for me. ME2 DDE download with 18+MB/s, so no connection issues for me.
