Although it is a pity they closed the forum, i cant completely disagree with the Operators of BSN.
looking through the post there, it went quite fierce in those "discussions". even if you can call that discussions, cause they were insulting each other like cavemans, even though it was a minority of the fans. We can just hope they will reopen the romance section before ME4.

btw i didn't romance at all in my first playthrough. I didn't want to cause friction on my ship. I started my second playthrough in the past few days and although i intended it to be Tali, i opted for Ash. Aside from that, can someone tell me why Sovereign would stay separate from the reapers to keep an eye on things in the galaxy to alert them of any developments. I mean the reapers are sleeping/hibernating for 50,000 years.

Though to be honest, we were actually arguing less about Miranda and more at each other.
That said, I think it's silly how the admins can't handle that.
At least we never stooped to the utterly creepy levels of Tali dolls and chemical composition for Quarian persperation...

Heh, and that right there is why the forum will probably never open up again: the arguments were personal, and the discussion topics can get even more disturbing than those that got the section closed.

It'd be nice if they do, but there was some really weird stuff on there. Liara fans declaring they were canon, Tali and Garrus fans planning to kill the other because they didn't like their LI having a friend, Miranda fans getting into fights, Thane fans believing about how Control would let them revive Thane as their AI lover, Jacob fans screaming about racism, Kelly and Diana fans screaming about not being relevant, Ashley fans and Kaidan fans talking about why killing the other was the correct choice... The list goes on.
I seem to recall some people coming up with a reason why a Mordin romance was totally a valid and sensible idea, but that might have been a nightmare of some kind.
People are weird.

Meanwhile, the Jackolytes and Steve fans (and Male/Kaidan fans) were there, minding their own business, hurting no one. I feel bad for them.

Which is sad, because I enjoyed laughing at their petty bickering.dreamgazer wrote...
