Does anyone work with blender for Tileset-Modeling in case of Neverwinter Nights? I see that i like blender much more than gmax. 3ds max I dont have, only on "work". So my question:
1. Does anyone use Blender for Neverwinter Nights
2. Can I modelling in Blender and catch the models to make them fit for Neverwinter Nights with 3ds max?
Thanks!

Here's a couple of links for you to a couple things from a week or two ago. Blender texture cd iso and neverblender. It might also be a good idea to keep an eye out for a regular contributor on here called Asymmetric, who is the person keeping neverblender going.

You can always do the modeling in blender, export it as obj or something and use 3ds max to do the rest. But you can do it by using only blender too.
I've created some tileset group for an existing tileset using only blender/ neverblender: nwvault.ign.com/View.php . Animations can be done too. Only thing, that won't work are emitters/particle systems. The system used in blender and 3ds max/NWN are just too different.
On the downside there isn't much documentation available for neverblender itself. But If you have any questions, I'll gladly answer.

Its possible to write a Blender -Tileset-NWN tutorial or Short Instruduction?
@First I will create Placeables 4 my upcoming module! I think that should be not to difficult.

While I can't personally help you I do have a few links culled from the second hand copy of "Blender for dummies" that I recently bought. I have checked all of them, so at the time of posting there are no dead links here.
Hope this helps. If not there are a number of links off these sites to other blender resources and complete short movies made in blender (I think "Big Buck Bunny" is funny myself)

- First up, the official blender site.
- Next there is Blender Artists, which has a newbies section.
- Then there is Blender Nation which mainly features blender related news stories.
- Blender Newbies may be of help.
- Blender Cookie also has tutorials.
- Blend swap has 8250+ models free to download (but you must register)
- Blender Art is an online magazine that is free to download in pdf format (release shedule roughly bi-monthly)
Hope this helps. If not there are a number of links off these sites to other blender resources and complete short movies made in blender (I think "Big Buck Bunny" is funny myself)

Thanks a lot, now I will work in.
Think Blender is much easier for non-commercial "fan-created" game content. Because of that i want to use blender.

I'm working on a small tutorial how to create a simple placeable and tile. Nothing fancy, probably only how to get a simple cube to show up in NWN. It is rather easy, especially if you already have some experience in blender ... I just need to take some screenshots.

Even with the book I mentioned earlier, I think I'll need your tutorial Asymmetric (
). So thanks in advance for that. Any idea why the 3ds files you can export from blender (at least from version 2.66a) won't import into gmax?

No idea, I've been trying to do that at first. I actually managed to import them but ... let's just say the models are not what they used to be.

Iam on to make a site for Neverwinter Nights in focus on Custom Content! There will be a tutorial list and more!
