Is it just me, or is there something going on between Irving and Greagoir?

Or he did it for the awesome armor and mage-watching benefits, like Cullen.

Maybe the emotional damage from being a templar first and a friend second is what drove him to die alone then ... he now has guilt and feels he is unworthy of being either a friend or a templar anymore, and since they don't have Prozac and the lyrium makes them wonky anyway I see a quick trip to Despair-ville even without all the angsty hidden/forbidden desire angle.

But the hidden/forbidden desire angle is ALWAYS the more preferable route in Bioware games!

It's the subtle hints. When they say blood magic they probably want a nookie in the bathroom stalls...

Does anyone else think it would have been so much much cooler, if we could have seen a blood magic spec.+skills on Irving when we are about to save Connor? That would be one of the most epic moments in DA :D

I was under the impression that he wanted to see you and Duncan in action in the room.

Interesting this...

No-one seems to have mentioned that Gregoir explicitly tells the GW that unless he comes back with Irving, he's not letteing anyone outlll

After smashing urns and walking on poisoned floors all day. I must admit, this gave me a chuckle.

Actually, there is nothing going on between Irving and Gregior. Irving, Gregior and Wynne however...

So it seems. Oh well. My imagination working overtime, I guess.

Made for an entertaining thread, though... :)

I think that both their behaviours can easily be misinterpreted by someone outside looking into their relationship, but personally I think that it is respect that one has for the other and fear of change.

Considering their background, one's a mage and the other a templar, they most have been locked in arguments for so many years that each one has learned everything there is to learn about the other. Thus making them both, having gone through all their prejudices in those years, able to skip past them (as they know eachother so well) and manage any situation thrown at them with the most efficient way possible.

And since they work together so well and they can see and value that for what it is, any change that eliminates either of them would be an insufferable blow for the other.

Well, that's my theory anyway!

EDIT: Love thy enemy!

Unless... maybe...
Irving and Greigor were childhood friends, until Irving was forced to move into the Tower, and Irving decided to go train to be a Templar so he can keep watch after his best friend and protect him from the other Templars?
