Admit it.  When you're at home alone, you call your pooch all kinds of strange derivitave names and some that have nothing to do with his/her name.  What are some of the things you call your dog?  I have three dogs.  I'll start off.  If the thread takes off, I'll post the other two.  The names only get stranger after this one.  These are all the names my girlfriend and I could think of for dog number one.
Name: Dexter (like the murderer, not the scientist)
Breed: Rotti/Lab
Aliases: Dex, Crazy Bones, Bones, Mr. Bones, Dexter Doodle, Galumph, Goofus, Goofus McRufus, Sniffs McGee, Pupsworth (pretty much every dog as a "worth" name.  Being the youngest, Dex got Pupsworth), Monkey, Monkeybones, Butt (and trust me, he can be one.)

I usually called my dog by his name... which was actually the word for cat in another language. When we first met he exhibited several cat-like behaviors; the most notable of which was a complete aversion to water.

On other occasions I kept it simple with such unimaginative names as "Boy" or "Cutie". He was a black labrador retriever.

One of these days, I'll get a cat and a dog. Then I'll name my dog "Cat" and my cat "Dog". Hilarity ensues when I have guests over.

My puppy's name is Lucas, but he goes by 'puppy' a lot, since he's only 9 months old. He's nearly 50 pounds, however, and since he's a golden retriever/German Shepherd mix, he's a big puppy. My cat, Joey, sometimes gets called 'Jo-jo'. The funniest dog name I saw was my college friend's huge German Shepherd guide dog. The dog was a good 3 feet tall at the shoulder, and her name was 'Bitsy'.

My dog is called Robbie, he is 2 years and 6 months plus he is a Border Collie. Surprisingly he is a wussy he jumped when an ice cube landed on his back, ran in to the garden and hid when he saw his comb plus he also starts wimpering when he hears other dogs bark.

So you could say his nickname is wussy but i rarely use it.
