I'm thinking PS4 depending on the information on price, used games, and cost of using there networks.

What factors are you looking at or are you into a PC?Image IPB

I'm leaning towards people not hyphenating "Xbox" anymore.

Neither right now. I need to see some serious game play before I pick one.

Neither in particular at the moment, but I won't buy anything until at least the first price drop.
In the meantime I have a ton of great games to play on PC :)

maybe I'll just stick with the Xbox 360 as long as I can. I don't like how they are pushing this tv stuff or onlinefor the Xbox one or having to activate games. Maybe I'll wait and see how the PS4 is

Considering that the new gen will probably cost over a thousand bucks, and I can't even afford a can of beans, Xbox 360.

I doubt next gen consoles would cost that much Zazzerka.

Given all the restrictions, forced kinect, and all kinds of intrusive functions on both PS4 and the new xbox, I am considering a PC, and turning pirate.

PS4. Easiest choice ever. In the history of existence.

Ah yes, the unnecessary entitlement path.

Neither.

I decided to happily rejoin the master race a few months ago, and my decision is seeming more and more sound. :3

Probably gonna go get a 3DS or something too, and then I'll be set for this gen...

Not really. The kinect sensor has to be 2.5 meters away from the user, in order to scan the user properly, right? Means I will have to move everything in my livingroom to make room for the damn thing. My couch would be blocking the enterance to the hallway. Something is off when someone has to "move to a bigger apartment" in order to use a console. Customers are allready being treated as pirates anyway, too.

I was never looking to buy a console at all; I followed the console reveals only for the tech porn. My PC is more than adequate for my gaming needs.

Well, I got a beast of a PC. But it's expensive to upgrade, don't think I'll need to for awhile but still. I wanted to get the new xbox. But from what I've seen, read and talked about it, I seriously doubt I'll get a xbox, I think the PS4 is the safe bet. Although, I don't think I'll buy a new console for a while. Just stick to PC. But I luv the console exclusives- Halo, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid- although I've heard that it's coming to pc, GTA.

So yeah, I like consoles but the xbox 1 just doesn't seem to be a gaming machine. I think the PS4 is. I mean, both are gonna be a huge upgrade for console players. The amount of Ram alone is a huge. HUGE step. So is the 8 core PC type of architecture. I think console only players have a lot to be excited for. But for me, cause I have a PC I need reasons to buy a nex gen console. 17 months ago before I got my PC, I probably still would say I want the new xbox. But from what I've seen the PS4 looks pretty beast.

What is impressive on the PS4 was that tech demo for Unreal Engine 4- Now they had a PC demo running an Nvidia Titan- and while it looked a little better and didn't have as many screen tears as the PS4. The PS4 tech demo was still outstanding, Beautiful, and impressive.

Why wasn't there a tech demo for the Xbox 1, and see, If I were a console only player and say I had 500 to 700 bucks to spend this November or December on ONE console then things like Exclusives, power and a free online model ( assuming Sony still does it with the PS4) would be the determining factor.

My answer, in a perfect world, is give everyone a PC with a quad core processor, a 660 ti GPU or AMD equivalent (probably a 7950) , 16 GBS of ram, Asus mother board, gaming mouse, gaming keyboard for sub 800 bucks. But.... Yeah, that ain't gonna happen.

So I would say a PS4. It's More like a high end gaming PC and it looks like sony isn't forgetting the people that put them at the top of the gaming world.... The Gamers.

To hell with them console peasants. :P

Since I'm a fan of RPG and JRPG, I may get a PS4 depending on how many exclusive RPG games are on it, but I would just play most of my multi-platform games on PC due to their ability to mod and portability.

After Microsoft's presentation, it's the PS4. However, that doesn't say much.

For now, I'll stick to my 360 and PC.
