Woah, so far it's been like 3 yays for XBO and the rest is evenly split between PC and PS4. Seems like MS has made the choice easy for a lot of people.

I for one am a member of the glorious master race, so were I ever to switch to sconsoles I'd rather buy one that tries to do its own thing than one that badly emulates a PC. Steam got me interested, though.

Considering Windows remains the most popular OS, I'd say that, at the end of the day, Microsoft still wins.

None. I'm thinking of retiring from gaming again then coming back 5 years into the next gen when Sony, MS, publishers, devs etc have all gotten their heads out of their backsides and come back down to earth.

Plus, the games will be much better then and the consoles will be much, much cheaper with all their bugs sorted out. 

Frankly, a part of me worries that there won't be a gaming industry left for me to come back to. I hope that I'm long retired when that day comes.

I am just curious about the Kinect voice controls. What if while you are playing a game, someone walks into your room and just blurts out "Xbox, off!" or any other form of command? Unless this console will have a voice lock, there will be tons of trolling opportunities being taken advantage of in the near future.

Gamer: OOOOOH! I'm on level 99! Just a few more points and I will reach Level 100 and beat the game! It took me five hours of non-stop playing to get here. I must not fail!

Friend of gamer: So you are at level 99 and only need a few more points to beat the game?

Gamer: Exactly.

Friend: So....if something were to occur that would halt your progress such as your Xbox turning off.....

Gamer: ......Then all of my progress will be terminated and I will have to restart from scratch at level 1. Why are you so curious?

Friend: Oh....no reason.....just simply wondering. Oh and by the way, I just want to warn you to make sure you or no one else in this room inadvertantly or purposely yellsB) "Xbox, off!"

Ha! Fair point.

Maybe it's just an elaborate scheme to let the XBO sink so they can abandon the console competition and maximize Windows sales?

There isn't enough solid information (for me) to make that kind of decision yet. Now is the time when the console companies are scrambling around, getting their stuff together for E3. After that, hopefully everything about the consoles and their game exclusives will be talked about it detail, making it easier for the consumers to make educated choices. (As it stands now, I would pick Sony but much more research is still required before I would part with any money.)

The most important question to be answered for me, is what DA3 will be releasing on. If it's only available on next-gen, then I will likely be buying a new console sooner than I otherwise would.

All I learned from the reveal yesterday is that I really don't want the nextbox. I heartily detest the Kinect, and very much resent it being built-in, instead of the optional choice I would have preferred it to remain. I can't see sense in paying for features and hardware I neither need nor want.

 The worst thing about the Xbox One is its freak out potential. It has no off switch, it requires the Kinect to be always be plugged in, it can presumably turn on your TV like your Cable Box can, and the Kinect can see in the dark. Imagine you're walking to the bathroom in the dark when all of the sudden you walk in front of your TV when it suddenly turns on and starts hissing at you like a sith holocron.

Yes. So far, the only game that Microsoft was talking about was Call of Duty: Ghosts and that's not even exclusive to the XBox One. We'll see what Microsoft has up their sleeve for E3, b/c so far they have failed to impress many people and have even let many people down.

Agreed...I mean there is always the Halo IP as well but I can't think of anything else from an exclusivity perspective that would make me buy Xbox One, certainly not day 1......hell, the only reason I own an Xbox 360 is for ME1....have never played another game or been on XBL either....no reason to do that for me, though sorry I missed Left 4 Dead....

@Ravensword, you remind me today of a small Mexican chi-wow-wow.
