There is one reason and one reason only for me to get an Xbox....... And it certainly wouldn't be the Xbox one I'd be getting!!!

The worst thing about the Xbox One is its freak out potential. It has no off switch, it requires the Kinect to be always be plugged in, it can presumably turn on your TV like your Cable Box can, and the Kinect can see in the dark. Imagine you're walking to the bathroom in the dark when all of the sudden you walk in front of your TV when it suddenly turns on and starts hissing at you like a sith holocron.

Screw it, I'm going to PC. I had the originalXbox, I had the 360 when it came out, the original white at that, it still works, kinda, a 360 slim, which hasn't let me down, but at this point, I'm dropping the Xbox. That pre owned fee was the last straw for me.

I'm pretty sure PS2 controllers weren't compatible with the PS3, either. How is this surprising news?OdanUrr wrote...
Perhaps it's old news but it's been confirmed that 360 controllers are not compatible with the X1:

I'm with you, but it seems like new controllers have been a requirement for each iteration of each system, wouldn't you say?

Update: Speaking at a roundtable session with the press attended by Ars Technica, Shuhei Yoshida stated that "when you purchase the disc-based games for PS4, that should work on any hardware." When asked whether games would require online registration, Yoshida noted that that decision was up to the publisher. When asked if Sony, as a publisher, would require games to be registered online, Yoshida said, "we are not talking about that plan."
