Definitely a PS4. Regardless of whatever Microsoft showed, good or bad, i was always going to get Sony's next system. I just prefer their franchises to be quite honest, and can't wait to see what they have in store at E3.

Going to stick with my PC obviously and I've got my 3DS for JRPGs. If I had to pick I would go with the PS4 but it looks like my favourite JRPGS are starting to go handheld as well so I don't think I have to worry about that.

Honestly I really have not heard anything that will have me commit to either system. The xbox reveal did not discuss gaming aspects, and
I have yet to see real games (actually game play not tech demo's) for the ps4. I will probably have a better Idea once E3 comes around. I used to buy both systems but I doubt I will be able to afford both for this gen. *shrug*

My PC

Honestly, never really felt the need to get a console, not because "I'm above all that cos I is a PC elitist", just because there haven't been any games that I need/want to play that are console exclusives, or justify the outlay of a couple hundred bucks + the game.

Only problems I have with consoles, is that they have cheapened some games due to constraints they place on resources that can be used, and slack development companies that don't do decent, worthwhile ports to PC - The Witcher (1 & 2) being about the only stand-outs to the rule. Most blaring one for me is the utter lack of decent texture resolutions in ME2/3 - though I'm of the firm opinions that Bioware dropped the ball big time in not offering a High Res Texture pack like they did for DA2.

I do not know if I will buy a PS4 or not. I prefer the pc generally. I bought a 360 this gen though.

All I do know is that I have no intention of buying an Xbone.

I can't decide.  Despite defending X1 a lot in the past day, I haven't decided which one I'll get first.  I'll probably get both sooner or later but one will get firsties. 

Xbox better for media.  Would love to be able to casually toss out voice commands from anywhere in my room to play music or netflix shows, no more remotes, no more waiting for programs and devices to boot up one by one.  Just chillin in bed, oh "xbox play some hendrix, yeeaaah."  That would be awesome.

But.. PS4 is going to be better for games.  It will almost surely have the superior multiplatform games and be much more popular for the indies. 

That said, neither would be my primary gaming platform, which is PC, so gaming isn't the primary reason I'm buying one.  Really, its about a whole multimedia package.  Games, yes, just the non-pc ones, but also frequent use for blurays, netflix and music.  With that in mind I can't decide which one will really be better.  I want both, I want ps4 for the games and x1 for the media.  I think picking which one I buy first is going to come down to price and exclusive launch titles really.  I expect to have both by this time next year probably.

This is not even about being a worthless fanboy.....it's more about how MS is trying to control your buying and playing habits...everything the XB1 has, i have a tv, a pc, and a smartphone for those options, then tag on the silly aspect of games being ties to your account, fees if you friend wants to play used games, restrictions for this and that...etc.....just waaay too much goin' on for me to sit down and play games for a few....

And if enough folks buy into this, you can be Sure Sony will follow with a similar business model, (if they haven't already) further wrecking the console's future aspects. The XB1 presentation has so much corporate heads thinking they know what gamers want when they don't have a clue...and consumers who don't do their homework or just don't care are going to be contributing to these crazy buisness practices.

I should be able to trade games and play them at my menz crib, without all of this extra crap!....greed has slowly creeped it's way into this thing and MS is expecting you to accept it with a smile...

Really a no brainer for me. Ever since I graduated from my Super Nintendo, I went the Sony route. Mostly because there were games on the PlayStation that attracted me to it more than the XBox, and also because I love the controller (the XBox one is just too big and uncomfortable for my hands). PS1 led to PS2, which led to PS3, and now I have online gaming buddies on that system, so...

Color me a PlayStation girl for life, at this point. I'm committed.

I'm gonna get the PS4 because of the free internet, but I will probably get X1 eventually to play their exclusives, which is exactly what I am doing now with PS3 and X360.

I have a PC that I use all the time anyway (master race FTW) but I'll probably get an Xbox because I'm a sucker for fancy TV gimmicks and I want a console to play Destiny AND Halo on.

As for backwards compatibility, I'll just keep my 360 to play old games because I'd get near to nothing for trading it in.

I will only get it if my gamer laptop is unable to run the new games decently, however.

Some people sell them in order to buy a new one. Personally I keep them stored. Still have my PS2 slim.
