Well, I either name him after my first and only dog, Cody. (Not really fitting as my dog in real life was a Dalmatian) Or I will pluck out a favored Roman Emperor's name and use that. I.E. Caesar. Brutus. Titus etc etc.
Human Nobles! What did you name your war dog?

I named my dog, "****got", but not for what you might think!
For some reason, I was reminded of the movie (and also the book), "The Eiger Sanction", starring Clint Eastwood. The dog of the turncoat, wartime, homosexual, named his dog "****got". I dunno, I just thought it was a funny name to be calling out to your dog!

I see there is a bad word parser here...sorry, it's "*****got". No disparity is intended. It is based on a character in a book...

Sivaar. I couldn't remember how to spell the name of the Kilrathi war god, but I think it's fairly
close. I think he'd be rather displeased if he knew I named him after a feline war god though.

My human noble named his mabari Wuffel. Hard to translate it to english... maybe into woofy or barky. Comes close to naming a tiger Fluffy.

Snuggles. Because he's so snuggly! Look at the face! Who's an adorable killer, then? You are, yes you are! Momma's wee Snuggles.
(Yeah, I talk like that to my real dogs too. Giant slavering beasts who chew cow bones for fun...and I talk to them like they're purse dogs. It confuses people.)
