The only way for MS to get back into the game is this.
350 dollar XB1 model. Free Online play.
but cause they like money and just can't help themselves they won't do either of these things and the death of the Xbox product is all but assured. Unless, a catastrophic event occurs for PS4 like it not working or being utter trash ( I don't think that will happen). So.. Yeah. Xbox 1's future doesn't look good.
tbh I think getting rid of the always online requirement alone would improve sales, that said I'll most likely get an X1 (Halo 5 and Titanfall), but I do agree that Sony have made the better console and that will be the next console I'll be keen to get first.
P.S Destiny gameplay yay!!!!!
I just prefer a controller over a mouse+keyboard.

Most of the games we saw played in the first three demos were played on a PC using an Xbox controller. I remember one bit specifically where they showed a bunch of people doing just that (one guy was using the proper tools though;)).
Ya I think it was the BF4 demo and I was like, Y U NO USE THE RIGHT THING?? All these scrubs had perfectly good gaming keyboards and mice in front of them and they were using controllers but then there were like one dood who knew how to handle a PC properly

I agree completely, although a while back you said "How can you not buy a PS4?" (or something along those lines) and I think that not everyone who is a gamer will just go out and buy one. Firstly both microsoft and sony stressed that their old consoles are still good and secondly not everyone has the money to buy a $400 in which you cannot play any of the games you currently own. I will not buy one because although it has some really nice exclusives and it is priced well and all that
a) I have no money
c) I have all my games on my PC

The public response is probably going to be accepting the resignations of several officers after a drop in the stock price.Blind2Society wrote...
So, ummmm, you think Microgreed is going to respond or just continue digging their own grave?
They've made public statements they can't retract without looking like idiots, not to mention the developed code and whatever contracts they've already negotiated with publishers and retailers to support their intended business model.
I suspect they'll lean hard on their disclaimers that they can change features at will and roll a lot of this back - but they will probably wait a couple of months after launch. That gives them time to approve the code changes and roll back contracts, plus they can wait to see what the sales figures say. Serious gamers may defect to PS4, but most of the public didn't even see the Sony press conference and they'll hope there'll be enough folks who don't care about their policies to buy X1 anyway. Is Final Fantasy 14 even any good though? I'm curious to see how they approach that game.
A Realm Reborn looks pretty fantastic. XIV was poorly recieved at launch, but afte SE has basically remade the game with RR i looks great. Check out some YT videos, it should impress.

I once played FFXI for 7 years which is relevant. Essentially, the dude who ran FFXI(Tanaka) for its beginning and middle (which kinda sucked) left to create FF14. Yoshida took over running FFXI, leading to awesome and fun content and a general revival of the game. Almost simultaneously, FF14 premiered and bombed. Tanaka got kicked off the project and back to FFXI again (which mysteriously started sucking again) and Yoshida became the new director for FF14: A Realm Reborn.
This is all a very boring way of saying it could be damn good, even if it's still using the outdated subscription model.

A. Lower the price of the Xbox One to $399
B. Get rid of the policies the consumers hate
Will they? Probably not.
Which means THIS time, Sony's got the head start.

Microsoft has got to lower their price before launch. They've got to if they want any chance to be competitive next gen. Cause Sony is playing for keeps. I'm sure all the PR and marketing for MS is saying the same thing. Or maybe not, they're probably all yes men and women over there at MS. But I fear without at least. A Least. A 50 dollar price cut and non-DRM, xbox will be going the way of the Dino's.
I'd say if it reversed its policy on drm and 24hr log in, it would be ok.
