Yep, everything I read about the PS4 just makes it seem so much better than XB1, the hard drive can be removed to- XB1 cannot. No DRM. Used games are good. But what all the Sony fanboys- in my opinion the worst fanboys ever. Don't mention is all the lag that occured with AC4 and Destiny demo's at E3. No no, they won't talk about that, lol. We'll see. But right now, because of the price I think PS4 will sell better out of the gate. The performance??? That's left to be seen.
But the PS4 does look good. And I'm happy that Sony is gettting some love.

Are you suggesting that performance will be subpar on the PS4?
Any stutters at the stage (whether it's at MS or Sony's E3 conference) are probably a result of unoptimised code and or other software issues. I mean really, these multiplatform games are cross-generational titles. I sincerely doubt that Sony's (or MS's hardware) is not capable of running these games.
However, you don't need to be a fanboy to know that PS4 is factually superior on a hardware level than the Xbox One.

I've said this before about the PS4, on paper, being faster than the XB1- I believe it's running it's core's at 1.6 whereas the XB1 is running at 1.2, also then you add in the 8GB DDR5, and if sony can offer a SSD compatable for the system then there is no doubt it will be way faster than the XB1, for boot ups and load times at least. However, the PS3 was suppose to be better graphically than the 360, yet most multiplatform games look better on 360- that's a fact. I know this could be because PS3 uses openGL and 360 is directx but still you never know. I expect the PS4 will perform as good, and more likely a little better than XB1, but what I saw at E3 is what I saw. Lag, freezing and frame ratest and tearing. But like you said, it could be a code issue.

Since they are in the alpha its no surprise, the lag and freezing problem's will be fixed on released day.

OpenGL was not the problem. It was the PS3's radically different architecture. Previously, developers would have to put in more time and resources to get the PS3 to perform as well as the 360.
Now the PC, Xbox, and PS4 are x86 based and developers won't have to do any real magic to take advantage of that 50% GPU power that the PS4 has over the Xbox One. There are already developers out there who have said that multiplatform games will run just as well or better on PS4. So this isn't really an issue.

Yeah, as a PC guy I'm very happy about the architecture of the new consoles. it means less delays, better games for pc and overall just better fo the industry.

Aye. I want gaming to be better across the board.
Whether you go PS4, Xbox One, Wii-U, PC, LMNOP, XYZ, Yippety, Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey, whatever.
Gaming as a whole should improve for everyone.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but this won't last forever, especially if this generation goes on as long as the last one did. There will be a point when the limitations, delays, etc. start happening again. PCs will advance and consoles will stay behind like usual, especially if they are already outdated compared to PCs.

Word. They have Metal Gear V, Kingdom Hearts III, and Final Fantasy Versus XV part of their catalogue. Besides this expanded third-party, it kind of pisses me off that they waited for a new console generation to make the effort to really start caring about exclusives.Battlebloodmage wrote...
Quality over quantity, I always say. Based on the games they shown so far. 40 exclusives could go as far as 20-30 indie games. Most triple A titles are either multi or Xbox-exclusive. Microsoft must have paid a fortune.

I wonder if gamers will riot if consoles ever hit a graphical plateau? That's the improvement a lot of gamers expect out of a next gen console. If "next-gen" ceased to exist I'd love to see what happened.LPPrince wrote...
