I think Nintendo will steal the show this year, even if they claim to have a smaller presence this year on the expo floor. Their WiiU and 3DS game line-up looks absolutely sick. We're finally going to see all those glorious Nintendo games that so many of us have been waiting for - for almost over a year!
- Zelda Wind Waker HD for the Wii U.
- A new Zelda Wii U title.
- Zelda A Link To The Past 2 (3DS).
- Super Smash Bros 4 (on both Wii U and 3DS!).
- A new 3D Mario on the Wii U.
- Mario Kart Wii U.
- Bayonetta 2.
- Fire Emblem for the Wii U.
I'm sure I've forgotten a few titles, but those are the ones I'm excited for. This is gonna be good!
Oh man, that looks awesome! I never tried anything related to the Xenosaga series. It looks a lot like Monster Hunter. Is this game also about hunting big monsters?

Nintendo will NOT have a press conference this year on the E3! This makes me a sad panda, because I always love Nintendo's press conferences (well, with the exception for their last press conference in 2012, that one was pretty damn mediocre).

They will announce an open world Pokemon RPG for the WiiU at the Nintendo Direct, like Skyrim but with Pokemons.Heretic_Hanar wrote...

The Wii U is a sinking ship, Nintendo. Do something about it.

Nintendo are really screwing themselves by not doing a conference at E3. They need to get out there and convince people that their system is a worthwhile investment... for both players and developers.

The problem with Nintendo is that they try too much to be too independent.
Nintendo has stated that they're going to do a Nintendo Direct presentation a day before the E3. As with all Nintendo Direct presentations, it will be released on the Wii U, the Nintendo 3DS and on YouTube.
With the Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo wants to show all the games that will be playable on the E3, and they hope that will be enough to convince people to check them out and buy their consoles.
Really, I find this incredibly naive from Nintendo. They can't expect a single Nintendo Direct presentation to be enough exposure. It's like you said, the need to get out there and try to grab the attention of the press away from Microsoft and Sony!
I believe Nintendo has the power to be the winner of this E3 in terms of game-lineup and exclusives. From what I've seen Nintendo is really going to kick ass this year with A LOT of high-quality first-party and second-party games, almost all of them exclusives.
As a Nintendo fanboy, I REALLY WANT to have a reason to buy a Wii U. I REALLY WANT Nintendo to CONVINCE me to buy a Wii U. So far Nintendo is not trying really hard. Not having an E3 press conference certainly isn't helping either.
It's alsmost as if they don't want me to buy their new console or something....

I figured Nintendo didn't want to compete with the PS4 console reveal and Sony and Microsoft's respective lineups, but they should've.
They indeed should have. They could have easily stand their own against Sony and Microsoft by showing us their superior game line-up. Nintendo makes and publishes great games, and they would definitely be capable of convincing some people to buy a Wii U if they would show their great games to the world.

Thankfully, Dream Drop Distance doesn't use that.TheChris92 wrote...
I just hope the game will adapt a gameplay mechanic similar to that of KH1 & 2, a mix of those two, instead of that silly card-based system from the interquelsLPPrince wrote...
It'd be cool if KHIII was released on all consoles.

Assuming they actually have such a thing in their playbook, that is... I have my doubts.

Kind of sad. It belongs in the conversationLPPrince wrote...
For example, everyone's been going, "X1, PS4, Sony vs Microsoft" but I rarely hear someone mention the Wii-U or Nintendo along with the other two.

Wii U is watching those two slugging it out.

Pretty much. I hope there are some epic surprises in store around E3. The horrible launch still needs to be rectified with awesome games in the not too distant future.Ravensword wrote...

Sony's press conference is where I will be, but I am also going to be seeing what Nintendo does show with a lot of interest.

Don't be ridiculous, Retro Studios is making a Starfox Adventure sequel. Team Ninja is still working on Metroid, and I myself am quite excited to see them reveal Metroid Other U at E3.Eternal Napalm wrote...
