All they had to do was take the Xbox 360, fix the crap it had, whilst improving it's strengths! So simple! It's no wonder they call it the Xbox One, it's literally 359 steps backwards in every category. Congratulations are in order though, for the quickest way to lose an entire generation of gamers.

Yeah.  Its predictable that vetran ps3 players will be upset about that, but as a PC/360 player who will be making the switch to ps4 as my console of choice, I know its a miniscule price to pay to not be treated like a theif by your own appliances and get monitored by a creepy camera that the NSA will have free reign to get their grubby hands on. 

Besides, if nothing else, consider it the price of cross-game chat.  Thats a pretty big deal.

To be fair, Xbox One has been bashed to death once Sony announced the PS4's features.

Well, Xbox One has been bashed ever since Microsoft announced the Xbox One features, and rightfully so. After the PS4 details we just got it doesn't look like there's gonna be something we can actually call a platform war anymore with this next generation, so yeah, peace for everyone!

I still think it very likely that there will be lots of sales for the X1; there's already been alot of pre-orders. Many consumers will not take the trouble to inform themselves, and will stay with the brand they're familiar with.

What a day! Unbelievable demand for #XboxOne. In the first 6 hours of pre-order availability, we've sold through most of our inventory.

I'll be interested to see what happens with PS4 pre-orders, now that both systems are available.
