What a day! Unbelievable demand for #XboxOne. In the first 6 hours of pre-order availability, we've sold through most of our inventory.

I'll be interested to see what happens with PS4 pre-orders, now that both systems are available.

I think there's going to be a lot of shocked faces on the internet when the holiday sales come within 500,000 or so of each other (without predicting a winner) ... and the Wii U is still flatlining.

For those who look for a full media experience, Xbox could be the system for them. While I don't like the practice, I feel like we should at least wait a few days before deciding the victor. Also, Xbox may change their policy before the system comes out.

You're asking for rationality literally hours after the Sony got their fans blood up and pleased an extremely loud group of people that think used games are a huge deal and apparently lose their internet for more than 24 hours at a time. 

Give it a couple weeks. Much like determing success in the NFL draft, we won't actually know who's going to be the victor until two or three years after both consoles are out, but people will actually be able to analyze and prognasticate with a level head by then.

Do they make controllers for the PS4 that are clones of the XB controller? Because as of now that's all the XB1, has over the PS4, IMO. Better price, better machine, no restrictions. This has become an extremely easy choice now. No choice at all with the right joystick. Looks like PS4 will be my first Playstation and 360 my last Xbox.

Although I'd like to go on about the fail of Microsoft, gamers are generally speaking, a stupid proudly uninformed bunch who highly value brand loyalty.

So I wouldn't be surprised if sales wise, they are very competitive with the PS4. The financial success of these consoles are hardly set in stone. Who knows what the future will bring.

For people like me, its an easy choice. Switching to PS4. I hope so much I can get my preorder in before it sells out.

Chances are it's a little of everything. Pure brand loyalty for some, others the people for whom the new policies genuinely don't affect them at all or don't care about them (which I suspect is a much larger group than the internet would have you believe), others that maybe are affected but are won over by the game library, and yes, new people they manage to pull in with the media features. 

Right now, if nothing changes, I think Microsoft will be competitive but probably won't win the war, such as it is. If they did something as simple as cut the price to $399, I think that's what can get them their footing back.

I stopped being brand loyal with the Gamecube. I have dozens of games. Most of them are cross platform. The price and the joystick were the overriding factors for my choice of the 360 over the PS3. Halo is awesome, but it's just one game.

None of my downloaded games will migrate over, I find the restrictions appalling, and it costs too much. I have zero incentive to buy an XB1. Much as I am fond of Xbox Live, I'll just hold on to my 360 and get the PS4. Sony makes you pay a fee now? Cool. I'm used to it.

By the by, I have ever purchased exactly 1 used game. Ever.

Xbox One is done.

The PS4 has no DRM which is exactly what I am looking for in a conosle and it supports offline players.

This is coming from someone who this past generation played on the xbox 360 and barely touched my PS3. I am not part of a loyalty towards a brand. I'll play whatever is more gamer friendly and PS4 is just that.

If Xbox One doesn't change policy they can kiss my future involvement with them goodbye.

Maybe so, I'm just sick of this forums irrational hatred for call of duty instead of rightfully laying the blame on publishers/developers trying to copy it.

Everyone who works at Microsoft Studios is on the brink of getting screwed over solely because of the Xbox One. It's over. It's just over. I really would like to try out games like Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse, but the Xbox One ****ed it up, and Sony had much, much more to offer.

Beside not being backwards compatible, and the PS subscription, I already know what I'm getting.
