I am thankful that this is happening, and so should you guys be too. The industry tried to screw us, and they've succeeded in the past; but in this instance they'll hopefully (if people care about consumer rights) fail.

Besides, it's funny to read how everyone is ripping Microsoft.

I actually like competition between the two, because if Sony takes complete dominance of the industry there's a chance they might get lazy in the future because there's no other company to push them

And don't say Nintendo because they're never gonna beat Sony

Except in handhelds and with the Wii.

Hadn't seen this one yet, thanks!

Now, about that interview:

When you're looking forward in the console cycle and you think about any other device that you own - phone, ipad or PC - and how you consume media - music, video or books... these things have all become digital and I think we've seen the advantages of having your music library wherever you go or being able to listen to your songs on any device.

How many of those services are available outside the U.S. in their current form? For instance, in my country the iTunes is useless beyond purchasing apps, same with Amazon, can't download music nor videos (there's Kindle so that's something). Furthermore, Xbox LIVE isn't available in my country and the list of countries where it is available is being cut in half for the Xbox One. So explain to me again what are the advantages of these services?

Nintendo has always be great with handhelds and past consoles

But that's their strength now, handhelds

Funny enough, i feel the same way.for the past three years.the gaming "industry" has been engulfing itself into a media point of social forced interaction.personally yes, ill be buying a PS4 but at least this

Unfortunately, that post has more to do w/ politics and less to do w/ Microsoft.

I have to lol at poor CDProjeckt. I know that news must've been a slap in the face.

They can make the game. But they can't play it at home on the Xbone. XD

Yes, I do wonder about this.

What is the point in making a game for the Xbox One if they can't even play the damn thing? Don't they need an Xbox One to develop it in the first place?

Well, the second question is actually one I'd like an answer to, but I do not think CDProjekt expected to sell many Xbone version copies in Poland for multiple reasons:

1) Witcher 2 on 360 didn't exactly tank but it didn't sell amazingly either
2) In Europe (except for UK) people generally prefer Sony consoles to Microsoft
3) Polish are generally mostly PC gamers
4) The launch of 360 was delayed quite a lot in Poland, and XBL services even more so for that console

Microsoft might get Xbox One servers working there by Witcher 3's launch, but regardless, the Polish fanbase will probably just go "lol Xbone" and continue as usual

They were more than happy with Witcher 2 sales on 360, considering it was an almost complete unknown for many console gamers. This year's E3 and Microsoft conference buzz has given them something they needed and that is publicity and increased recognition among those they're trying to reach.

Naughty Bear - I imagine CDPR has dev kits of Xbox One that work differently than the ones that will be sold to gamers.

Microsoft shilling at Wii-U events?

"Culver City here, saw some people in MS shirts, but too many people were bashing the xbone - they didn't speak up at the part of the line I was, but I saw them near the back"

Anyone can undestand why people only in 21 countries will be able to connect and use x1 at launch? Its close to madness really or something else going on.

Not certain, but I assume that it has the do with linking to the server for their 24 hour check ins and always on DRM.

The first console I get will be the PS4. I may (special emphasis on "may") get the Xbox One (please don't kill me) DEPENDING how much of a success or disaster it is on release and once a certain amount of time has passed. The only reason why I am partially considering an Xbox One is because I have great Xbox friends who I have known for a while and they may stick with Microsoft since they like the exclusives.

It is a little difficult to decide whether or not I should ever buy the XBone. If I do, I will be a sellout and supporter of extreme corporate greed. If I do not, I miss out on exclusives and potentially lose contact with my XBL buddies. Though I always could get new friends on PS+........

Jesus Christ.

How are they going to expect good sales of a console that requires Internet virtually all the time, if Microsoft can't even get their technical difficulties and internet server issues straight?

Thank you for reminding me how the land of the free is slowly becoming a corporatocracy and where the government spies on its citizens. Thanks to the NSA's new little building in the middle of nowhere, they'll be storing everyone's e-mails and search logs there, not just Americans.
