Very embarrassing. As others have said, it almost feels like a late April Fools joke. Or maybe Microsoft was always this anti-consumer and I just didn't know.Steelcan wrote...

I hope not. The only company I can see not headed in that direction is Nintendo. They just don't put a lot of emphasis on being online. I hope they stay in that mindsetLPPrince wrote...
I get the feeling all consoles are headed that direction eventually and Microsoft's just trying to be the first one in, though they might've fired the gun a little early.

Less privacy, more restrictions, and more demands of the user that just wants to plug and play games. Accepted as is, it will only go further next round., and everyone else will follow, even if they remain a step or two behind.
Would this stuff be tolerated for regular old DVD and Blu Ray watching? Look out, that industry may just think this is a nifty idea.

They were never anti-consumer. However, their business was never pro-consumer.
The only thing Microsoft was ever about was developer, developers, developers or publishers, publishers.

That's why every product they made marketed toward customers would get completely ignored. They had no idea how to sell any idea to a customer, or listen to customers. Years later, the same product would always be resdisigned by Apple.
Pretty much how the Xbone E3 went as well. They had no idea how to tell customers why or how restrictions are good for them, but they could have at least tried. Yet, they didn't. I don't think they even know they have customers.... or what customers are...

That's not all that surprising, it happens.

It is rather telling that they are using Windows 7 instead of Windows 8, however.

playing the games on a PC is not that uncommon, they are made on PC, and making the demo for console is a lot of work there's no reason they need to, as they're showing the game, not the console.

Ehh not really.
If you look at any company using windows they don't just flock to the next OS as soon as it's released. They aren't just going to switch over to a system that hasn't had even a years worth of tools and infastruacture development done on it. Hell some are still using XP for the simple fact that its increbibly stable and they don't need anything more.

Next thing you know, the Kinect 2.0 is gonna watch you while you poop. You'd think after the overwhelmingly negative response to Microsoft's circle j***ing would prompt them to roll back on some of their policies... LOL NOPE.JPG
So much for holding on to my ME3 saves for ME Next-gen, all my saves are on the 360

I'm starting to think Microsoft is rushing the X1 just so Sony doesn't get a headstart.
Edit: Just for clarification, what I said isn't aimed at the article linked by SNAKEATEN. Just Microsoft's recent policies (something he mentioned) in general.

I think BioWare's doing away with save imports and are trying to come up with another system to replace it, so you might not have to worry about that.

That and it says XboxJuan will work in Virginia but Adam Orth has already stated otherwise.
