I think all games will maintain the current prices. At least, based on the prices listed on Gamestop's web site (scroll down a little for the game prices).

playing the games on a PC is not that uncommon, they are made on PC, and making the demo for console is a lot of work there's no reason they need to, as they're showing the game, not the console.

It is rather telling that they are using Windows 7 instead of Windows 8, however.

Indeed.^_^

Exactly what I was expecting. No surprise there.

Don't get banned. That simple.

I haven't once in all my years of gaming done something that earned me a suspension.

Not that hard. If people make a fuss about that, it just sounds like they're the kind of people who get into trouble knowingly.

Doing something bannable in one game doesn't lose you the right to own another. Or rather, it shouldn't.

Though to be quite honest, it does open opportunities for tomfoolery

That's good to hear. For all the talk of publishers needing to raise the price to $70 because of inflation, consumer purchasing power has not kept pace with inflation since the last generation.

The way I see it, bannable things in games are usually multiplayer/co-op related, as singleplayer type stuff isn't really an issue.

If someone does something bannable in a public setting online, whats to stop them from doing it again somewhere else?

Thats like saying if I break a rule in a thread here I should be suspended from the thread but be free to comment in every other thread.

Then again I don't pay to visit threads so :P

/my own faulty logic

I don't think people need to be worried about Sony's game prices. Pretty sure those will stay at $60 as well.

If games do end up reaching $70(here in the States at least), it'll likely be the generation after next.

Ooh, movie idea.

Being banned once may be enough. Maybe not. Repeated offences deserve something as extreme as what Microsoft is doing, not something that, up to that point, happened just once.

As long as you're not paying to be able to post in those threads, no, it isn't quite the same.

Edit: bloody ninja. :P

If Microsoft is going to ban you from single player games for something you did in multiplayer, all that goes to show is that they have absolutely no respect for your property rights. But at this point, was their really any doubt?

It's the last nail to a coffin that already was deep underneath the surface.

Lol wtf.

Hey guys, don't get a speeding ticket or else Ford will come and revoke your ownership of your car's title and prevent you from driving the automobile that you purchased with your own hard earned money.

Fvcking unbelievable.

I like how they later said it was about the Xbox 360, despite that the guy asking the original question specifically stated "would I continue to have access to my XBOX ONE games?".

PR Microsoft. You're doing it wrong.

Yes, just change used games to used cars, and it exposes the entire subject.

Not sure if sarcasm. If so, idk where I mentioned used games...

^ not sarcasm at all. I meant what I said. Used games, games ownership...

And by the way, if I were Sony, I would give Phil Harrison a big fat raise. He is doing a killer inside job.

The used car example is a bad argument for used games, since they aren't at all the same thing.

The ban thing is still incredibly stupid, though. I think at this point it would be better for them if they just stopped talking and gave us no new information.

@ShepnTali: I see, sorry for misunderstanding. Lack of inflection in text and all that :P

But yeah, this ban thing is very stupid.

oh well, their loss is some enterprising game console company's gain.

I had been thinking this. Normally when a large segment of people feel left behind, or left out, this opens the door for a new entity to swoop in and cater to that segment. In my mind, imagine a classic, barebones console simply designed to just play new games. Offline, no streaming stuff. Just, simple.

The problem would be getting publishers on board. Could be another indie haven I suppose.

Can't really complain about the ban policy when I play all my games on Steam. Considering xbox is just a walled garden PC. Only difference is Steam has proven itself worth it for the service, while the easiest thing for xbox to do would be to just rely on brand loyalty and being the only game in town to a degree.
