Because while it could be awesome or could be horrible, safe bet is to be cautious. At least thats how I'd go into it if I was interested(which I'm not, I hardly watch TV anymore).

Come to think of it, if people really hate the X1 now, why should E3 change their minds? Let's assume Microsoft reveals the most amazing exclusives you'll ever see this side of the galaxy. What does that change? The issues people are complaining about will still remain, won't they? Online connectivity, blocking of used games, always-on Kinect, etc. Or are these issues that people can simply ignore provided they receive good games in exchange?

I'm not even going to watch the xbox show, I'm done with them unless they get rid of this bullcrap and call the system a proper name.OdanUrr wrote...

I guess that depends on fan reception to MS's presentations. If a lot of people who are complaining now go, "This is gonna be so awesome, I'm gonna play this game and that game and this game and that game" then maybe those issues weren't so big to them.
But people can still say, "These games look awesome and damn do I want to play them BUT-"
And remember, anything before the word but isn't as important as what comes after.

No. I think that, more than about the game exclusives, E3 must have Microsoft giving concrete answers to the tough questions. They must explain exactly the process of playing a game with the X1, be it a new or a used game, digital or retail, Kinect-enabled or not. Maybe that's what the "reveal" was all about, side-lining these issues until E3 so Sony doesn't steal the spotlight with its PS4 reveal. Who knows?
IMO, MS wouldn't be in the mess they are in now if they had just waited until E3 to do this

O__O
I see it the other way, if they had revealed all they revealed the other day 19 days later at E3, they'd be in MUCH worse shape.
E3's for games. If they presented all that nonsense at E3, taking away time better spent showing off titles, they'd of been in a much bigger mess.
Regardless, the mess is pretty big as is.

No chance of that happening, I think they are set in their mentality, for what reasons I don't think anybody knows because this is an insane move and it is going to cost them. Even after everyone got pissed off, Microsoft hasn't even tried to fix things. If there's any indication that things are not going to go well, it is this:

You really think people would be okay with "internet required" and "no used games unless you pay" if they had waited until June?AresKeith wrote...

You certainly wouldn't be the only one, which is exactly why I feel they wouldn't and shouldn't do it.
Hell if I go PS4 and that turned out to be true I'd be a little bummed.

I highly doubt EA will be willing to put all their eggs in one basket. Makes no sense from a business standpoint and they are a business.
