Speaking of which, FIFA 14 launches for-
Xbox One
Xbox 360
PS4
PS3
PS2(no joke)
PSP
PS Vita
3DS
Wii
Windows
Android
iOS
But NOT Wii-U.
Think about that for a moment.
The PS2, a console two generations old, is going to get a game that a "next gen" console won't.
LEGENDARY.

This whole thing with Xbox One was really just fuel to the fire for me. Props to everyone for the negative feedback towards Microsoft but the 360 soured my disposition towards Xbox long before the Xbox One was announced. I just didn't get my money's worth for various reasons with Xbox this generation and I'm not making that mistake again.
I hated the xbox after every 360 i bought got the "open tray" Error.

Thats horrible luck. My first 360 lasted years before the red ring. Then I got another one, had that for a few months, gave it to my stepbrother when I bought a 360 Slim, and to this day both the console I gave him and the one I have now have had zero issues.
Luck of the draw, I guess. Hopefully all next gen consoles come out without a hitch this time.

Lol no way. As far as full-fledged consoles go all I have is a PS2. If I liked Fifa I could pick that up.LPPrince wrote...

Also unlike many people in this thread, I don't want Sony to win this war, that's foolish. Competition is a good thing for gamers. Without that, Sony would become overconfident and arrogant.

Aye. I wonder if D1DD's(Day One Digital Downloads) will get bonuses like some retailers get to give.

Somewhere deep down inside of me I can hope they can get Windows back on track.
There was so much outrage over Xbone partially because there was a faint hope Microgreed would change, especially after Sony's conference. Windows, I fear, is well beyond any hope.

- Digital game sharing
- Games that are tied to your account
- Disk-less gaming (who doesn't want that?)
- Digital reselling of games
I'm still going for the Xbox One, but quite frankly I wish Microsoft can implement their original plan one way or the other... we'll see in a few years, going all digital was the right thing to do MSFT.

Doesn't bother me, I'll just wait until the full package drops into my price range. Cool thing about being a PC gamer is my backlog is nigh inexhaustible. If I feel that features that should have been included in the basic version of the game have been removed to make dlc, I can wait months, even years for the main game's price to fall low enough to make up the difference for the price of the day one dlc.BrookerT wrote...

I still wouldn't order the Xbone until they make the Kinect spycam optional. I've no interest in the glorified remote control that is the Xbone, and undoubtedly the Kinect is included in the price.
Addendum: but even if they were to remove the Kinect spycam, I don't think I would purchse the BetamaXbox. Microsoft's does not deserve to be rewarded for its attempt to remove consumer agency within the video game market w/ the Xbone.
You could always cover the camera up with something. That is if If it doesn't block the motion.
The fact is that the spycam is included in the price. It would be cheaper if the POS Kinect was optional. You're forced to pay extra for a feature that you don't want, don't need, and is quite unwelcome.

That will change when a few months after release cross-platform games come out, and their control schemes are way better on the X1 because of augmented Kinect commands and gestures... did you even bother checking all the tech demoes at E3 this year?
And it's not a spycam, you have full control over any data it collects.. that much has been said and confirmed all over by Microsoft.

Don't really care for that. And that was already in place somewhat as far as Original Xbox games bought off XBL were concerned.- Games that are tied to your account
I don't really care for it. And maybe I'm missing something but isn't this already possible?- Disk-less gaming (who doesn't want that?)

Once again, I couldn't careless about Kinect. It's a glorified remote control. The Xbone would be cheaper if this crap was optional. I don't want it. Period.
Well, when you have Microsoft filing patents that allow the Kinect spycam to detect how many users there are in the room and how a user reacts to commercial programming, I'd say it's a spycam. Regardless, I still don't feel comfortable w/ it, nor would I care to use it for gaming. It's just a needless feature and, again, one that ups the price tag needlessly.

It's already possible yes, but you have to buy the game digitally in the first place... if you buy the physical editions, you can't remove the disk while playing, that's what I was talking about.
Anyway, at least some people seem to be happy about this 180 change... we'll see how it goes on launch though.

I always thought the Sony and MS should really be pushing digital downloads, they should make them cheap than hard copies, but honestly the digital versions are usually dearer.
I must be the only one who prefers hard copies, I will never buy a digital game there is a hard copy of, I think anyone who prefers digital to a hard copy is mad.

What gets to me most is the assumptions Microsoft pulls towards the circumstance of their customers, bringing up people in a nucleair sub as examples of people without internet is both rediculous and sad. It's not to say he's wrong, but it just sounds rediculous. Even in first-world countries internet coverage leaves to be desired with whole areas not having access. Ignoring or being ignorant to that being true just pisses off a whole lot of people that would maybe have liked to purchase your product regardless. These people are not nessecarily without means, their area purely lacks the architecture. There's a distinct difference. It's logical if people without internet are blocked from using or buying things that absolutely require internet but this DOESN'T, so making it a requirement is blatantly saying they simply don't care about all these people collectively.
I am personally warned enough by them having tried this, and apparently missing the part where half their statements basically told users to go stick it if they didn't have it as good as they expected people to have it in certain parts of the world. Telling developing parts of the world to use their old machine. I don't know about you guys, but that just got on my ****** like nothing else and I live in the Netherlands on fibre. This really will never be an issue for me personally.

Do people trust the MS won't slowly phase in their policies anyway?
I'm actually hoping they will... Phil Spencer already confirmed that family sharing is coming even though they changed policies although he didn't say when but I imagine some time after launch, would be interesting to see how they handle it now.

Just chiming in: however anyone wants to put it, Sony and twitchy look-down-at-your-feet nerds just held back a good future vision for console gaming... the only thing I wanted was a region-free Xbox, and I got that but we also lost a lot of what made this console such a big deal:
- Digital game sharing
- Games that are tied to your account
- Disk-less gaming (who doesn't want that?)
- Digital reselling of games

You just had to bend over and grab your ankles to get it then.
1) Digital sharing, really? You can't be that naive, that the publishers would allow you to share the games with 10 people? Yet they tried to lock down the used game market, for precisely that reason.
2)How is that a good thing? If I want to re sell it I can't
3)You already have day one Digital download
4)Yeah, they're screwed with that in the EU already, after Usedsoft v Oracle.
Good future my arse. It was a draconian and cynical attempt to curtail consumer rights, and implement DRM to safeguard the publisher backers. Crony capitalism in it's finest form, just look at MS's approach to independent developers and individual game trading, vile and and effectively racketeering.
