Yeah, my personal concern right now is if I was to pick it up, it would have to be at least 100 dollars cheap and I wouldn't need the Kinect. Otherwise, I'm waiting till that happens, if it does.

Aye, specs DON'T matter, as far as games go. If you're a "one console a generation" kind of person, how one constantly stacks up to another is a bit meaningless(unless you plan to change things up, which is why this stuff gets brought up between gens).

Anyway, one might have superior specs- but in the end, it comes down to the games, how they're ported, how well they're made, etc etc

I don't put too much stock in specs, otherwise I would've gone PS1-2-3-4 instead of PS1-2-360-X1.

Yup, it pretty much boils down to games. Which console has been putting out exclusives that interest you the most. For me, it's been the Xbox since the original Xbox and I have no doubt it will continue to be Xbox in this next generation. Sony hasn't put out a single PlayStation exclusive on the PS2 or PS3 that's made me say "I wish that was on the Xbox" or "I wish I had a PS3/PS2." I've been very happy with my jump from the PS1 to the original Xbox, and I'm still sticking with the Xbox into this coming generation. (I won't be getting a One at it's release, but likely a year or two afterwords I'll pick one up).

I definitely wish I could've played the Uncharted games, Journey, MGS4, The Last of Us, etc etc.

But I'm cool with watching them from the outside. Great stuff.

You may get a chance to play Journey as ThatGameCompany has stated that they are going multiplat. Really that game should not be missed, so I hope Xbox ppl will get it too.

You may get a chance to play Journey as ThatGameCompany has stated that they are going multiplat. Really that game should not be missed, so I hope Xbox ppl will get it too. 

I'm really hoping they do that because not everyone can afford to buy more than one console and I would love for people to experience Journey.  Though, I know ThatGameCompany lost a couple of head people, no?  So I don't know if that is having an influence on the decision.

I will say the one game that was on the PS2 that wasn't also on the original Xbox that I wanted to play was Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. But I got to play it on the PC and ended up disliking it. So it turned out to not be a big loss for me.

Which console in the console war I will get for the next generation will almost entirely depend on what system the next ME game comes on, and the prices at that time of the systems. Also it will highly depend on whether or not I want(or have to) enhance my Pc to play it.
