Still have tens of games on Xbox to start let alone finish and there is still some I haven't got yet so waiting not issue. Still haven't finished DAO or DA2 and I got the dlc in the sale a while back and I barely started Oblivion GOTY.

I already know I'm getting an X1 with a Kinect sensor- pointing that out because I'm sure soon they'll announce a launch version of the X1 without Kinect 2.0.

Not really. They just announced that the Kinect 2.0 is unnecessary to have plugged in to run the console.
Because its unnecessary now, its likely only a matter of time before they reveal a $399 option for the X1 without a Kinect sensor.

They also announced that the release of the X1 will only be in 13 countries initially not 21 due to language localisation problems with the kinect.
Do you still think they will allow a seperate option?

The momentum of their backtracking is something extraordinary to behold.

If they can only implement the full system in 13 countries and delayed it in the others until 2014, then they just handed Europe to Sony on a Plate as they can't hit the Christmas deadline so important for early uptake.

If everyone has a Kinect, even if it's simply left in the box somewhere in the house, they might be more willing to create Kinect features with their games. Release a bundle without Kinect, and it gets condemned to suffer the same fate as the current one, with games like Skyrim and ME3 being the rare exceptions rather than being the norm.

Why not just sell the kinect in a higher-priced bundle in those 13 countries and a kinect free version in the remaining countries and sell the kinect and kinect bundles there when they solve the language problem? They'll make more money doing that, than they would just ignoring those other countries and pretending like they aren't loosing money doing that.
If they buy the x1 with no kinect then most of the OS features are in operable, so why wouldn't they buy the PS4 which has all the features available? Is probably the reasoning. If they do sell the X1 without the kinect, then would people buy the Kinect afterwards. Splitting their own market.
They would make money obviously. But considering I don't know their break even point, selling the X1 without the kinect simply creates the risk that they will leave the Kinect as a very expensive sunk cost, which they have to eat, because the market is now fragmented and no one will develop for it.
Think of it this way, the cost of developing the X1 and Kinect are part of the total dev and manufacturing cost, so selling the X1 at a $399 ensures they only recieve 80% of the figure everytime they sell a unit. And the RRP of the unit is likely to be sold at a loss initially, hence reciept of 80% of a product being sold at a loss magnifies the problem.

So,
Assassin's Creed IV:Black Flag
Call of Duty:Ghosts(only to support the female soldiers in MP feature and even then I'm iffy)
Gonna wait on(trying to save some money)-
Battlefield 4
Watch Dogs
Day One Downloads(not really a preorder but still)-
Peggle 2(obviously)
And as far as 360 games go between now and that launch,

Phil Harrison: Xbox One Will Never Come Without Kinect
I know they've gone back on some of their other plans already, but as of now, they don't plan on releasing it without Kinect.
I won't be getting one either way. It still requires an internet connection to set up, and I decided that would be a deal-breaker long before the X1 and PS4 were revealed. I've never used an internet connection with my consoles and never will. More importantly, my family just doesn't trust it. I saw a quote in an article that said "you can't take back the fear and uncertainty that Microsoft won't try to do something silly and stupid again" - which pretty much sums up our feelings on the whole thing.

Also, only way we get progress and improvement with it is if every machine comes with one, so devs know they can integrate it to a huge market rather than just a fraction of it. Plus, its not mandatory, so if people are reaaaally intent on not using it, they can go right on ahead.
As far as the single time internet connection, works for me. I'm always online anyway so it doesn't deter me whatsoever. Actually for me its pretty much a non factor.

The strangest part to me is this:
The way this is worded makes it sound like the advertisements are the problem, rather than the data collection. It also reiterated that they "have a long-standing commitment to your privacy and will not target ads to you based on any data Kinect collects unless you choose to allow us to do so."
