Did we get anymore clarification on the Skype/profanity thing?

I've got friends who wouod never use Skype (or, if they did, they would never use their game console to do it) but are goingnwith the PS4 over the XB1 because of it, just on principle and "it's Skype today, it might be MP matches in CoD next" type of thinking alone.

Theres a lengthy thread on neogaf about it. Sifting through it, it does seem like an isolated event. The whole thing is ass-backwards though. Uploading game footage with its profanity laced carnage is okay, but saying bad words is a no-no. People on the thread have said they've skyped with bad words and nothings happened. Be it console launch growing pains or an actual policy, I'd say its the former, but who knows?

Some of the multiplats on PS4 run at a higher resolution since its more powerful as the X1, but I don't think its a big deal and the whole 'resolutiongate' brouhaha was a bit silly what with COD Ghosts being at the center of it all. Reviews across the board say that game was an unoptimized mess for all platforms. The shiny, sleek next-gen NBA2k looks the same on both platforms and some could make the case that Ryse is the best looking launch game. I'd been on the Xbox 360 for years and just got a ps3 on the cheap to play its exclusives that I'd missed and have more than enough games to last a couple of years before I worry about the new consoles. Both systems will be great and when DA:I and The Witcher 3 come out, I'll start to get hives and loose social skills if I can't get my hands on that next-gen goodness.

I personally like the Xbox One games better (so far), I am dying to play Forza 5, and Dead Rising and Ryse look wicked. I've played Killzone before and it doesn't appeal to me, and Knack doesn't suit me at all. So for me, there's nothing to play on PS4 yet.... exclusive wise. But I'll not be getting either for a year or so yet. I've got too many good games still left to play on both Xbox 360 and PS3 lol. I haven't even played Heavy rain and it's sitting right in front of me.

I haven't played either new console but from what I've heard it sounds like next gen will just be a continuation from the previous gen in terms of pros/cons between systems. I preferred the 360 in most things superficial but it was the PS3 that developed new IP's for my tastes, and I believe that this trend will continue going forward.

Neither lineup impresses me, I agree that the PS4's is pretty bad though.

As for the anti-consumer stuff, Sony has been lying in the weeds for the most part (I wasn't impressed that they plan to spy on messages but in the grand scheme its small potatoes) and Microsoft has very grudgingly backed off. Going forward though I've lost a lot of confidence in Microsoft from a consumer standpoint and while I fully expect the other hammer to drop regarding PS4 they haven't attempted anything egregious as of yet.

And really over the past few years Sony has solidly run there PR, I can respect that.

Same here. I just finished the train level in Uncharted 2 and the only other ps3 games I've finished are KZ2 and the first Uncharted game.

Ryse represents what is bad in gaming. Good looking graphics that play it self. Calling it a good launch title is laughable as it has to be a game to even be considered that, QTE fest that don't require skill or thought is just stupid.

What a bunch of ****e. For the most part it's true, I've experienced it. They fight over it all the time on forums and comment sections in the past. I'm not saying everyone has said it or thought it, that's not what I'm saying at all. But there are fan boys out there that throw the dummy out and stomp their foot: "I hate such and such a company for this and that." It's pathetic how people just outright have to hate a company/console which they probably don't even have. This next gen console war is bloody ridiculous. And both consoles have flaws but it's amazes me how one-sided people can be about it and how quick they are to defend their choice in console.

I agree with Bad, it's the same mindset. It's the same type of stuff we should be used to seeing though. I don't understand the need to flame either side, or think you're a better gamer for choosing a console over the other. The only thing I will miss with not getting the X1 is the continuation of the Halo series, if anything - I'll wait a few years and see how that franchise develops with the last two games, but otherwise - from "last-gen" Sony tends to win out with IPs; Uncharted, Last of Us, Journey, Beyond, God of War, etc and I have a strong feeling that they won't back down with the PS4, so I can't wait.

Then that post should say most fans ot some fans or something. Saying fans means painting all fans with the same brush and that's complete bs and bashing a fanbase.

I haven't got any console since Sega Mega Drive. So I don't know much about 3rd millennium consoles.
I know that PS4s hardwares are better.

Clarify me:

1. Which is more restrictive and greedy (evil)?
2. Introduce me some of the XBOX1 and PS4 exclusives.

He's terrible at games(okay, try to get better? Nope), and will blame everything and his own mother for why he sucks, rather than admitting he's just not that good. He thinks he's funny, talks over the narrative of video games, and is everything that he himself hates about gamers.

He's like fanboyism personified.
