This is in the single player game. It whould make some sense in multiplayer but this is stupid.

This isn't going full retard. it's Visual Concepts (in NBA 2K14's case) taking the time to bring another iota of realism to video game sports if gamers wish for it. You don't HAVE to play with the Kinect, but if you do it's a neat little feature to have real life rules be enforced through voice recognition.

In this case certainly, yet MSFT clearly built the system with the facility to record and issue bans based on language, which as of yet, is nebulous at best in it's description. That's a fairly good example of the isse. This one was a bug (below), but as they're continuing the concept in upload studio I don't like MSFT passing judgement on what I can and can't say or whether my language is profane, I can say some horrifyingly offensive things without swearing.

I've seen many people take offense at a variety of things, but in the immortal words of Stephen Fry "So Fucking what?" I've probably got more enjoyment from winding up those annoying kids while playing CoD than I got out of playing the actual game!

I don't watch the NBA, but if they wanted it to make it closer to the actual game, then I agree that's a nice feature. Although it's probably a good idea that when you select the mode or setting they warn you that it is as real as they can make it and you will be penalised for language and in game behaviour contrary to the rules.

Gimmicky is probably a good way to describe it. I really have my doubts about its implementation though currently. Reminds me of Binary Domain when your companions would get depressed and eventually come to hate you if you ****ed at them too much.

I always liked it when they'd wander into your line of fire and then get angry at you.

Cool thing about Xbox Fitness is you get like 95% of the workouts for free with a Gold account. There's a couple of options that cost money beyond that, but those are the ones from the big names and are more comprehensive.

Still, its cool that I can go everything from a 10 minute core workout to a 60 minute P90x session for free.

Issuing a video game player a penalty for their real-life behavior without so much as a warning that this could happen is fraking stupid.

Cool? It bloody well shouldn't charge, but then again MSFT nickle and diming people for a free app isn't surprising as you're already paying for Xbox live "so hey we'll charge you extra for giggles".

Black light retribution doesn't require a subscription fee on the PS4 for PS+, just like the PC version, cudos to the devs, Zombie Studios.

Those stats are a little strange considering I can't think of the last time I physically cursed, and I live in Illinois, one of the Top 5 most likely to curse.

And I'm thinking of coming back to the Xbox, I didn't end up having the money for the PS4 at launch, and the policies that I had a problem with have changed a lot, so I may just stay with Microsoft.
