While I do love that Microsoft has flip-flopped from the earlier days when they rather arrogantly assumed everyone has very good internet, I think they are being smart here. Let Sony take the risk.

Wow. The xboxone is great.

It probably is. It's definitely not as bad as what some people say it is.

That's awesome.
I have reached conclusion this machine is literally the Anti Christ. Some sort of ultimate enemy of entertainment in living room. It's only conceivable value is in making your body suffer and sweat through "exercise". Besides that, it's machinations and Red Eye are created to serve NSA, Suit wearing Lizardmen and other overlords of Mordor, not people wanting to play video games.
I'm glad world largely refused to buy it;o Titanfall will propably push it's sales past Wii U. That alone is worrysome sign about state of our world though.

I do have one MAJOR issues with the Xbox One, what the **** is up with those insane game install times. It took more than 24 hrs of leaving my Xbox One on non stop for Forza 5 to completely install. I tried playing the game before it was fully installed and I only had access to a handful of cars and a handful of tracks. I had to wait till the whole entire game was installed before I could make any more progress. Fortunately Ryse did not take half as long to install as Forza 5 did but I still had to leave the Xbox One on an un attended for at least half a day before I could play the flipping game.
My PS4 on the other hand installs most games in under 30 minutes and allows you to play them before fully installed. I can also download games from the PSN store and then turn my PS4 on to stand by mode where it continues to download stuff. The Xbox One is supposed to be able to do this as well but every time I try I get a message saying that fame installation has been suspended.
The Xbox One UI looks nice but strangely enough I feel like it is step backwards from the 360 one.
Aside from those nit picks I am more or less happy.

Well, I finally caved in and bought a Xbox One last week Friday. I hate FPS's so my decision had nothing to do with Titanfall ( even though I did end up getting the Titanfall bundle since it was the same price as a normal Xbox One), it was just a question price and timing. GameStop in Europe were doing a deal where you could trade in a 250GB 360 and 2 selected games and you could get a Xbox One for €299.00. I figured that since I have not touched my 360 since July 2013 that I might as well take advantage of the offer. After trading in 50% of my 360 game library I managed to knock that price down to €200.00. Bought a copy of Forza 5 and a copy of Ryse to go along with the Xbox One and I enjoy both games. Titanfall was meh but then again these games rant really my thing.

Tried that. I heard about that fix on the internet so I tried it and got nothing. Both games refused to install, every time I clicked on the install option it would begin the process but about 1 minute later it would stall and it would go back to saying installation queued. Always with out fail. If I did not know any better I would swear my Xbox One was installing game data from internet instead of game disc. It should not take in excess of 24 hours to install Forza 5 game data to the Xbox One hard drive, not if it was installing from the disc. My internet connection is about 1.7MB so if it was an internet thing then I totally understand why it took forever.
call xbox support. that doesnt sound normal

Twitch on X1 is awesome. Normally if I didn't feel like gaming I'd just have my console off. Now I use it to watch streams of other folks playing games I don't have so I can stay entertained while doing other stuff. Right this second I'm on my notebook posting here and on my TV screen is someone playing Fable: Anniversary.

Can you buy good games?
Well it's not a Nintendo One so I'm confident there are good games on it.
Ooooh Bazinga.
Seriously though I'd get an Xbox One before a Wii U

Bayonetta 2, nuff said. I'm sure Xbone will fill the FPS needs though with it's 50 FPS a year quota. ![]()

Don't remind me...
I'm wondering if this'll go the way of the 360 with unique exclusive games that are not XBLA games going down the drain three years after launch. And surviving on CoD, Halo, and Gears for the rest of its lifespan. I'm not entertaining the notion of buying Xbox One until 2018 at the earliest. Real talk. I'll be able to judge the One's landscape then but 360 left a bad taste in my mouth. Waste of time.

The only way I'll get a xbone is when my cat can do the Y.M.C.A.
