I like using the controller too much, and not too many pc games i'd be interested in are designed to be used with a controller without 3rd party software like xpadder.
Every single cross-platform game that comes out on both console and PC has controller support, and likewise almost every PC exclusive action game. The only games that don't support controllers are strategy games, MMOs, and the very rare action game, most of which work better with keyboard and mouse anyway.
Guild Wars 2 is the only game for which I've ever had to use third-party software in order to gain controller support.
Sorry, I'm not trying to jump down your throat. I just see people use that excuse all the time when you generally have a lot more options for input methods with PC than you would on console. There are definitely reasons to prefer consoles - couch coop, price and ease of use - but control methods are pretty well covered on PC, even if you do end up using third-party software.
Besides, your computer monitor probably has an HDMI input, right? So you're good anyway.
