One can still hope! Retro did say they would love to return to the Metroid series and afater that epic failure Yoshio and Team Ninja created, it's the most logical choice

IT'S A MOTHERF%&^ING WII EXCLUSIVE?

Blame the various gaming companies refusing to publish it. Only Nintendo wanted to give a sequel a chance.

Yeah, Bayonetta 2 is a Wii-U exclusive.

Mirror's Edge 2- definitely not

Meh, I was thinking about getting a WiiU anyways. Kind of make it a family system. It's probably cheaper than the X1 anyways.

I imagine the Wii-U is cheaper than the PS4 and X1, yeah.

I must look into trying Mirror's Edge. I'm making a huge list of all the 360 games I want to hunt down for my library before they disappear or become really expensive.

Are they really serious about "due to a shrinking hardcore gaming market", we're shrinking? Facepalm.

Whatever market the industry wants to move out to, so they can embrace whatever new mythical market they think will be more lucrative, they will say it is shrinking.

Like, you know, the death of PC gaming that has been going on for about half as long as PC gaming has been around...very slow death.  It's like saying someone is dying at thirty because they aren't getting taller or stronger or smarter the way they were when they were up to their twenties.  It's based on facts taken out of context.

If you don't play it, watching it on youtube isn't so bad. First person free running though is pretty wild.

A PS4 and a WiiU honestly don't sound like a bad combination. The creepyness of the Kinect really turned me off of the X1.

Yeah, thought I made it pretty obvious with my original post.

Without Nintendo doing that, Platinum might not even have considered making a Bayonetta 2, since the original Bayonetta recieved mixed reviews and didn't sell too well (it didn't sell horribly bad either though).

I wouldn't really call this "mixed".

Eh, people could always unplug it after you turn your X1 off. And when its on, I wonder if it'll be like the current Kinect is. If I remember correctly, it doesn't track movement and scenery until a game or some such warrants it. It does track audio though, which I use rarely when I decide to Bing search for something really quick like a game I need to download DLC for or whatever.

X1 is going to sell well. It being the hottest video game wishlist item on Amazon currently, tells me it's going to be a hot techie toy for a broad scope of people.

Figures Microsoft wouldn't let you Google. The Pepsi Challenge commercials they've been doing for Bing vs Google lately would be more convincing if I actually knew a single person that ever used Bing.

Oh, that's neat. My oldest son was big into parkour for a time. He would probably enjoy that.

Though it's a big reason, the Kinect isn't the only reason. The PS3 had more interesting looking exlusives. When Saint's Row and Destiny became multiplatform, my brand loyalty disappeared. Whatever console focuses more on games and is less invasive will be my choice.

Yeah, I remember Bayonetta getting high reviews, usually on 360. Not so much PS3 because it was a bad port. I can't remember the details too well, but I believe IGN had to create separate reviews for each version because of the difference.

Lemme check-

PS3- 8.2
360- 9.5

So perhaps thats where people are getting the "mixed" thing from.

Even doing that (unplugging when not using), just imagine the joy children are going to have walking into the room when either a parent or older sibling is playing a game once that child learns they can just say "Xbox watch ESPN" and boom, it does.

People watching the presentation on their 360 with their Kinect on had to turn it off because every time a presenter said "Xbox" the Kinect would pause the presentation.

A wife casually asking "hey, honey, how soon can I 'watch Twilight'?" and the like.

And that bodes ill for all consumers. When people just wilingly accept the crap Microsoft is pulling they'll just keep right on pulling it.

I hope it's because it actually offers features those people were looking to purchase, and not just that it's the newest (therefore most desireable thing). Sometimes, I'm really not surprised that the perception of Americans by many people overseas is that of "greedy, spoiled and ignorant". If the shoe fits.... :?
