X1 is going to sell well. It being the hottest video game wishlist item on Amazon currently, tells me it's going to be a hot techie toy for a broad scope of people.

I hope it's because it actually offers features those people were looking to purchase, and not just that it's the newest (therefore most desireable thing). Sometimes, I'm really not surprised that the perception of Americans by many people overseas is that of "greedy, spoiled and ignorant". If the shoe fits.... :?

Can we please not go there?

And that bodes ill for all consumers. When people just wilingly accept the crap Microsoft is pulling they'll just keep right on pulling it.

And it will give an excuse to other scumbags to do the same as well.

I have no idea why but the PS holds no interest to me. They can win me over with a new Star Wars Battlefront entry if it wont be on the WiiU ;)

It's kind of funny. I was listening to a local radio program today and the guy was talking about a local casino getting table games. He started talking about how the casinos realise humans are so stupid that all they have to do is put flashing lights, bells and whistles on slot machines and sheeple will just dump their money into it.

Same thing with the ecksbawks. Put a whole bunch of flashing lights, bells and whistles on it and the fools will just throw their money at them.

I remember thinking the PS3 didn't have a wide variety of games when I first got it. However, I think that was a very good thing. I got CoD4 and AC (two games I probably wouldn't have gotten otherwise). Both of them are on the all time greats list for me.

But that is so worrisome. :o I can't fathom anyone being willing to make such an investment, (and a gaming system is at least $1000 in investment just to get started and buy a few games) without heavily researching all their options. Maybe some just have more disposable income or don't mind blowing their money on a risk.

That's definitely not how I roll.

Most of it's brand loyalty, Bekk. Considering how similar the two will be otherwise, experience and/or trust with a particular company will factor in as much as if not more than anything else. Hence in about two weeks we'll back to the normal divide of "gurr, PS4life" and "ECKSBAWKS RULEZ" and "hurr, PC master race".

Wii U is in the same boat the PS3 was in. It's half the price, but it has actually sold more in the same launch timeframe. More than the 360, too.

These things can just be hard to read.

^ It will be the same with all consoles. People get, I guessed spoiled is the word, because there is such a wide variety of games for the console they already have (because it has been around for years obviously) and the new console is, well, new.

And that's what's worrisome, Baron People will just blindly go with brand loyalty and ignore what Microsoft is trying to pull, and as I said, that will just encourage Microsoft to keep doing it. Plus, if other companies see them get away with it, they will follow suit.

It just bodes ill.

Yeah, thought I made it pretty obvious with my original post.

Without Nintendo doing that, Platinum might not even have considered making a Bayonetta 2, since the original Bayonetta recieved mixed reviews and didn't sell too well (it didn't sell horribly bad either though).

I wouldn't really call this "mixed".

Fair enough. Still, you can't deny that without Nintendo there would not have been a Bayonetta 2 in the first place.

- The Legend of Zelda The Windwaker HD
- The Legend of Zelda Wii-U (work title)
- Super Smash Bros 4

Those are the only 3 games that I can recommend you right now. We'll probably get another 3D Mario game, a Mario Kart game and a new Donkey Kong game, and they're probably all going to be awesome, but I can't really say anything about those games yet. We'll have to wait 'till the E3 to learn more about those games.

But you can never go wrong with Zelda and Smash Bros, that's for sure.

And since the WiiU is backwards compatable, you could check some good Wii games too, if you haven't already. I can definitely recommend Mario Galaxy, Zelda Twilight Princess and Zelda Skyward Sword.

Who's to say Sony won't do the same sh*t as MS?

Sony has confirmed they will not. No internet connection required, head hancho has same expectations as consumers regarding games we purchase. They did however state publishers could set own parameters. Fair enough. Because I won't buy if DRM is in a specific game. This statement and promise came from the top.

Well that sounds great but it would sound even better with a link. ;)
