This is why you shouldn't force always-online DRM:

Yes. Eurogamer has a great tech breakdown. The PS4 GPU is also approximately 50% more powerful then Xbox One.

Same. I was already leaning in favor of buying a PS4 before the reveal due to a lck of interest in Xbox exclusives (and the whole "dudebro culture" that surrounds that brand) and the fact that four X360's have died on me. Now, I know for certain that the PS4 will be my new console. However, if these issues are corrected, I may consider picking up an Xbone in a few years. But I highly doubt any of these policies will be changed between now and launch.

I don't see how Microsoft can redeem the situation they're in. The games that they reveal will most likely be available on the PS4 as well. The only exclusive that Microsoft has is the Halo series and that's gotten a it stale.
The real way they can redeem themselves would be to get rid of all the stupid paywalls for used games and the creepy spycam.

But what about the idea of having GOOD exclusives. They can have exclusives and all but that guarantees nothing, they could all suck, they could mostly be kinect exclusives or some other nonsense. I don't think that will save them anyways, what good is it to have exclusives when your console sucks.The issues people have with the console will remain regardless of how good or bad their games are. I hope people are smart enough not to buy the thing just because X or Y are only on xbox. 

Exclusives won't save them and if they really gave a damn about that they would've introduced us to those exclusives the day  of the reveal, that was the time to do it everyone had eyes on them.

Technically there won't be such a thing as a kinect-exclusive anymore since everyone's getting a kinect and they're all gonna be turned on anyway.

They might as well change the idea to "motion-based" or something.

I'd be fine with that, exclusives are stupid, pointless and only hurt the consumer. I'm always open to more options, thats one of the particular reasons I use a PC. 

As for the Kinect thing, yeah I'm sure pretty much every game is going to have to use that garbage anyways, either way that doesn't mean that those exclusives will be good or bad but since MS is more interested in TV, I don't think they have anything that will be all that special, they can't rely on halo and gears forever.
