Just for the record, both FF7 and FF8 were released on the PC in addition to the Playstation.
Not until 1998, though - and I don't think in Japan, either.
The mods will probably consider this off-topic, though.

I've played every single game of the series, even the very hard to find, almost non-existent CoD3
I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed the story. I exclusively played it for the story though, I found the multiplayer to be nothing more than a poorly developped, glorified pinata simulator
This is also perhaps the reason that the Call of duty franchise is the most pirated game series of all time.

How is it the cancer of gaming? Gaming isn't dieing at any rate and games are becoming better and better. It has a specific aspect to it, that is tailored towards a certain group that enjoy the "arcade" MP feel. The MP is developed very well, just because it's seem as "user-friendly", doesn't mean there isn't a learning curve to it.
Have you ever play competitively , from COD or any first person shooter recently?

Yes, COD Ghost map pack exclusives.

Yeah, they started blaming the media for what Phil Harrison and Major Nelson both said during interviews. Microsoft refuses to clarify any inaccuracies that might have occurred during these interviews. This leads me to believe that there are no inaccuracies and that MS is just looking for something else to blame other than themselves. But the truth of the matter is they only have themselves to blame. They tried to screw gamers over and were so out of touch that they actually believed people would be okay with all of these anti-consumer policies.Saints944 wrote...
The Xbox one has been disappointing from the very beginning. From the looks of it that I'm going to change to PS4. Now they are blaming the gaming media for the inaccuracies they they quoted from their devs and PR.
I believe they're timed-exclusives.MegaSovereign wrote...

Oooo great, the most overpriced DLC in gaming history.

All that achievement stuff through tv is lame as hell. Lol really? Oh my goodness, is this console horrible.
I'm starting to think you're a sock puppet for sympathy4saren, and probably following a script somewhere.
He IS sympathy4sarenreturns, look at all his threads. He committed to PS4 early and now seems to have severe buyers remorse for a console he hasn't even bought yet and is desperately trying to get people to back him up. He needs to hear how he made the right call. It's kind of hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time.
Cringworthy you say? What could be more cringworthy than fools backing the anti-gamer, pro-greed console that is the Xbox1?

Who's backing it? Who throws their lot in with either console without seeing what games either have available, what technical problems they have at launch and how much of the crap from the press conference mysteriously disapears when it's released?

Just seemed like you were, what with how you're jumping all over Eternal for rightfully hating on the Xbox. Everything that has been annouced about the Xbox has been bad while most everything that has been annouced about the PS4 has been good (granted that's not much). So, at this stage of the game (ignoring PC) PS4 is the clear choice. But at the very least, we can say that Xbox is a bad choice for everybody but Microgreed.

He's been doing that since before he knew anything at all about it though. He constantly posted rumours as facts and tried to get people to join him on a bizarre hate campaign.
I'm not backing it at all, what they anounced was utter sh*t. But I'm not convinced by the PS4 either. I still feel it could go either way, I could get either one or neither. I don't see how anyone could commit several hundred pounds or dollars to either machine based on all the info we have.

I'm sure there's a bunch of drones who have already "pledged their allegiance" to both the PS4 and Xbox One. I bet there's a bunch of preorders already. How they just throw away their money like that is beyond me, anything could go wrong with either console.

Ah, well, I'll just let you two (or 3) go on your merry way then.
However, I think Microgreed had said more than enough at this point to know that buying an Xbox would not just be bad for the person buying it and consumers as a whole, but the entire industry as well.
As for PS4, what they have said so far has been good but I agree it's not enough to make a decision on yet. At this point it looks like a better option than Xbox, but really that isn't saying much.
Basically I see it this way
Xbox = absolutely not
PS4 = a hopeful "we'll see"

Because Microsoft basically showed everything the Xbox One does except for the exclusive games to may show at E3

I can't say I'd really argue with that.
The only reason I hold out any hope for the XB1(is that how it's being abbreviated?) is that these press conferences tend to be full of fanciful ideas that go nowhere, the PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360 were all talked about as taking over the living room at various conferences. I still got excellent use from them all just as consoles. Although I do admit to using my Xbox as a dvd player and for streaming movies now too.
As is stands right now I see it this way:
XB1 = Hell no. I already have satellite tv and an Xbox, what does thing offer?
PS4 = Nah, I need to see more games and a price.
I'm still more than happy with my Xbox. I'm not done with this generation, Metro Last Light was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had and The Last of Us has done more to sell me on buying another PS3 than either PS4 or XB1.

PS4? Yes, I'm waiting until E3 to see what games they're going to have and learn more about the system. If the system doesn't require an internet connection and doesn't block used games, I'll be picking it up.

My issues with Xbox really don't even relate to the conference itself and what they displayed. Well, maybe a little bit in that the required kinect is terrible in a number of ways. The whole visual DRM, the simple fact that I don't want some camera/mic that's always on and connected to Microgreed 24/7 via the web in my house and last there's the fact that it's going to inflate the price of the console.
The rest of the stuff they mentioned at the conference was kind of neat even if I wouldn't use any of it all that much (the quick switch was cool because my TV has a terribly slow input transition).
The other qualms I have with the system have been mentioned many times already in this thread though I will say that forced installs is probably the biggest FU. Whatever exclusives (and I see games being exclusive as a bad thing) they have could never be enough for me to ignore all that.
I'm hopeful to see what the PS4 is all about as the Xbox is now off the table but I'm mainly a PC gamer so it's not that big of a deal.

I agree with you again. The whole kinect thing is a huge no for me. At the minute though there seems to be alot of half truths and mixed messages. These things can change, I'm waiting for people to actually get hands on with the consoles, probably after release before deciding anything. Because it's going to be alot of money to throw down.
I've kind of stopped reading coverage for the time being until E3. Mostly because of Microsofts ridiculous mixed messages, different execs giving different answers to the same question implies to me they have alot of stuff not nailed down yet or they are trying to hide so much that no one has a clue whats going on. Either way I want to hear from people actually using the systems. It's the only way to get any truth.
