If it was an exclusive for the X1, I would buy an X1. I swears it. I needs it.

I'm sure that happened already. Tree falls in the forest and no one's around to hear it and all that.

first article that flat out says it from a dev...at least that I know of

There's already people jumping on board with the Mirror's Edge 2 rumors, which I can pretty much say is a good guess of something we'll see at E3.

....Bioware is owned by EA....

Would be HILARIOUS if MS pulled an Xbox360 E3 2005 and revealed ME4 (featuring Shepard) ad an Xbox One exclusive

I would die laughing

ME hasn't been exclusive since ME, even then, it was on the PC, right? Ahaha.

Featuring Shepard? Shepard's not in ME4. Though I guess as a recognizable face it would suffice for the first reveal.

Still. I'm positive thats not gonna happen. But hey, you never know.

And more preorders for the X1 would be made, no matter what its most ardent detractors would have you believe.

Though after ME3's ending I think its pretty safe to say I'm done with Mass Effect, so it wouldn't draw me to ANY platform.

Bioware (and ME) was owned by EA before the first ME game was even released.

nope...ME was published by MS, hence why it took that long to get it on PS3. Not the point tho, I was just joking (not that it would be utterly impossible)

I could be wrong, but I thought EA bought Bioware in between ME1 and DA:O? There's no EA logo on my ME1 box.

EA bought Bioware I believe right before ME1 came out, but ME1 was still published by Microsoft.

EA publishing Bioware games didn't start till DAO, if I'm not mistaken.

Nope. October 2007.

http://en.wikipedia....Electronic_Arts It is under the VG Holding Group.

Mass Effect 1 was released almost six months later in March 2008.

Ah, I stand corrected. It was released in November of '07 on 360 though.

Ah, you are correct, sir, you are correct.

I could see console exclusives happening, but I don't think a ME game would be one that would work. I doubt you'd get even have of the fans of the series to buy a next gen console for a new ME game where they have to sweep that train wreck of an ending under the rug somehow. Heck, some people are still so angry about it, they may BOYCOTT buying a X1 simply because it had a ME console exclusive.

I get the feeling that the people who are worried about the Kinect privacy issues will never get a solid answer, especially since E3 will focus mainly on games. If a bunch of exclusives come out on the creepybox, then I'll be bummed out. Either skip out on games I've been wanting to play, or be spied on by Microsoft. No option is really good there.

For all those against DRM on next-gen consoles, what's the alternative?  Just play game of the disc like the current gen?  As far as I know, not installing a game on the X1's hard drive just comes with the usual minor problems: runs louder, more disc wear and tear, etc.  But maybe there are other reasons X1 requires installation of games.

Well, consoles were the gaming platforms that allowed for the most amount of freedom. If you wanted to let your friend borrow a game, then he could borrow a game. If you didn't want that game any more, then you could sell it to him for 5 bucks. From what I've been hearing, installation is mandatory. It would make sense, seeing as every game is tied to just one account.

Im glad I switched to PC a couple months ago. So many of the things that made consoles what they are have been thrown out the window. From what I saw in the release it was pretty much 99.9% geared towards casual gamers. And the fact that you can't buy pre-owned games or at least borrow them from a mate is ridiculous. If I do have to buy a next gen console (which I won't, screw that) it'll most likely be a PS4.
