Rage doesn't matter.

Where angry fans see red, Microsoft will see greeeen.

And no matter the reaction you see from folks, it'll still sell well.

Go back to the Xbox and Xbox 360's receptions pre-release. And the iPhone. And the iPad. Hell, iPods. etc etc etc

I'm not hoping it doesn't sell because creating the X1 is still a job, regardless of the mindset behind the product, if it doesn't work for me, I won't purchase it. I'm not saying what they're doing is right for gamers, but time will tell, if Mircrosoft notices that their "hardcore" fanbase isn't reaching their goals, then maybe they'll learn from this experience, but knowing technology and people in general, everyone (or at least most), loving buying "what's new" without considering the quality going in and coming out.

The more that sells, the further we get to see gaming pushed.

Play a game from 07 then check the games from 2012. Even if it's standard by PC standards, companies will push gaming really far.

Really far in the direction that provides the best experience for gamers? Questionable. Far in the direction that publishers will flourish? Yep.

Which is partially why I might not buy the Xbox One, because regardless of what exclusives they might have

I don't agree with that their doing

There'll still be developers who care about the hardcore fans. Just cause Microsoft doesn't care anymore doesn't mean that the industry as whole doesn't care.

Yeah I'm not sure bad publicity can kill xbox. Only competition. PS4 has to win for xbox to lose. Like Apple murdered the Walkman and Zune.

Wonder if Chrome OS (or something like it) could murder Windows eventually...

It is weird to believe there are people that simply don't care about being video recorded, scanned and measured. Themselves, family members, little children and surroundings, and having that info be used by multi-national corporations for commercial purposes. Do these folks not care for their privacy or something? Or how many don't know? Yet? And to pay money, good money, and receive through shovelling ad after ad after ad in your face, it is quite a phenomenon. Xbox One will definitely sell. There are plenty loyal to the brand and some indeed worship it with their soul. The thing to see is how it sells respective to the Xbox 360. The gaming community at large has been clear on their views, and we all know what happened ps2 to ps3. The thing Microsoft will care about is relative profits compared to 360. How many billions do they have invested? Their target goals are already laughably insane, and with hordes converting and statistics all over the place from core gamers crushing Xbone and supporting PS4 (IGN's latest is about 74%-26% ps4), Gamespot 89%-11%), mobile gaming taking the casual market and others saying they will be switching to PC. They will not get near the sales of 360, and while it'll almost definitely be profitable, how much is this hurting their bottom line relative to the past, and how will shareholders and their board react? Will Bill Gates, who actually played Xbox, come back and slap some people around? Lol.

I think it'll be interesting to see. I'd love if Microsoft just denounced all the garbage, made Kinect optional and sobered up. I love my 360...I just don't know what realm they moved to.

No, I'm simply not paranoid enough to think that "they" are out to get me and are going to be use Kinect to watch my every move ... or at least the ones in my living room.

Do you get updates on the script you're supposed to use from Sony or did they just send you out one and expect you to keep up with things yourself? Because if the latter, you've clearly been falling down on the job.

It's designed to gather info and datamine. Also potential DRM.

And Blackbaron, you, sir, make me laugh. Am I making you mad, little fanboy? :'(

You have no registed games on this site. You have only posted in the off-topic section. Your second thread ever created was a blatant advertisement for the PS4 over a month ago, before any Xbox One information was released. And it's rather obvious you're either a sock puppet or an alias for sympathy4saren, who engaged in the same activity for months beforehand. Really, what are we to deduce but that you are a shill, and probably don't actually own a 360?

Eh, think whatever you want. I don't care, nor do I want petty squabbles. I am busy and work hard and its fun to chat video games on here. I used to be a Mass Effect fan until 3, but that kind of ruined it for me. Interested in the new IP. Xbox had a free movie called Extinction this weekend, almost watched it. I want to get along with everybody, talk games. Am I supporting PS4 this gen? Heck yeah! But I want to be cool and get along with everybody. There is no doubt I'm backing ps4. And whatever happened to Naughty99 and GarrusCalibrations?

Could someone explain the "XboxOne scans your room depending on how many there are and if it preceeds what you put you must pay a fee?

Does this mean that when I instal it to have one person on screen, but if I ever have a party with dozen of people, I must pay next time I pay a fee!?

I could post a link, but I recommend that you Google Xbox Box One visual DRM to see a wide range of info. As of now, nothing is known of this specific element being implemented as of yet, but a patent for just what you described has been filed already. Which means, without a doubt, its capable and ready to do this. It will datamine info on you constantly, this much is known. But nothing as to visual DRM implementation yet. Vgleaks claims this is the actual plan; I believe they will wait until a user base is established, the money is in their pockets, or can it due to consumer backlash.

Of course a big rumor going around is Microsoft is throwing big money around to have all PS4 multiplats to be shown as Xbox One games exclusively at E3, including paying off pubs to not show PS4 versions in any before or after events either. Sleazy, but smart. They desperately want Xbox One to be known as a game machine.

A rumor that sounds very plausible to me.

That's hilarious.

I feel sorry for the tinfoil hatters.
