I would not be surprised of this happened. It's similar to that time when Samsung was caught red-handed for paying people to write negative reviews for smartphone competitors.

Rumors are just that. Rumors. It will be easy to detect at E3 if it carries weight, because Xbox One has no power edge, and PS4 is the darling going in.

So it sounds to me like what they're really missing is just those killer first party/exclusives, which may be changing very soon.
Why I still think they may have launched it too early with respect to when they would actually be able to get said titles out the door.
