So it sounds to me like what they're really missing is just those killer first party/exclusives, which may be changing very soon.
Why I still think they may have launched it too early with respect to when they would actually be able to get said titles out the door.
Their 1st party killers are coming, and they still have a game such as Monster Hunter 3, and Bayonetta 2 on the way that people would die to see on other platforms.
But this is how it goes. Those in their Nintendo house think games outside are crap, and those in the anti Nintendo house think those games are crap.
The system itself needs a critical boost, but there are just some flat out myths as well. People also need to realise there is no reason to think other systems are going to go gangbusters at first, either. There is such a thing as console fatigue. It could easily be slow for everyone.

Yeah, the subjectivity accusation doesn't quite cut it when the Wii U flopped hard. Which implies it's release games were largely crap as no one bought it for the games.Following your line of logic the PS2 and Wii would have suffered the same fate, they didn't. PS2 was the least powerful machine of it's generation and it dominated. The Wii was outdated tech, but it sold gangbusters, outselling both the 360 and the PS3.

Which has nothing to do with the 'no games' myth. And the Wii U sold faster than 360 and PS3. What it's doing now says nothing to what it will be doing a year from now.

The no games myth isn't entirely correct, in that those games are coming, but not actually out yet. So yeah there aren't many out now or they're limited to e-shop.
And it did indeed outsell them both, despite them being 8 years old... in Japan.. before it crashed. What it will be doing a year from now is likely to be the same as it's doing now, very littel, especially when it failed to establish itself, without any competition, let alone when the PS4 and X1 hit.

OMG KINECT IS JUST LIKE GEORGE ORWELL
Heads up, genius, would the Party have allowed you to turn off the Kinect? As, you know, Microsoft have come out and said you can?

Hahaha. Go home, Microsoft. Go home. Show me those multiplatforms and then I will envision it with more power and graphical fidelity on the console system with better hardware.
Run and hide. Run and hide.

But it wasn't polarizing. Everyone is hating on the console.
I kid.

For an optimal experience, we recommend a broadband connection of 1.5Mbps. (For reference, the average global internet connection speed as measured recently by Akamai was 2.9 Mbps). In areas where an Ethernet connection is not available, you can connect using mobile broadband.
Well, look on the bright side, we can start crossing some countries off the list. Let's see...

They really have gone full retard. Although the bit about licensing makes slightly better reading... I think... Am I reading this wrong or does it mean that I can essentially buy a game, install it and then give it to my mate for free?
"Give your games to friends: Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once."
So only one of us needs to buy it? That can't be right.
There is also this:
"Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: XboxOne will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."
So I can buy a copy and 10 other people can play it? How do they verify it's family members? I have to be reading this wrong. They are cutting out countries/areas without broadband and letting one person buy a game for 10 people? Install it, don't need the disc, give it to your "family" of 10. This isn't making sense to me.
[b]EDIT: I formatted this like a retarded monkey on speed. Copy and pasting doesn't agree with BSN it seems.

It conveniently omits the part of what happens to your virtual copy of the game. I bet you're basically transferring it to a friend, otherwise publishers are losing sales. As I understand it, say you buy a physical copy of CoD 87 and get bored after a while. So you give it to a friend who hasn't played it yet. Once he installs from the disc, the Overlord (we need to call it something, right?) will verify it's actually your copy of the game and that you have authorized the transfer of your copy to that person. The game will uninstall from your library and install in his. This transfer can only be done once for any retail copy of a game and it's permanent.
I still find it extremely odd that they aren't charging for the transfer. Of course, this encourages people to bypass retailers and exchange copies between friends. Maybe they gave it more thought than I give them credit for after all.

Your "family" will probably be those people that have an account on your "home" console. Just to be safe, the X1 won't let you register more than ten accounts on any given console so it's up to you to decide who's "family."
