Not everyone can afford to purchase every game new and I know most of my friends prefer to wait a few months, then wait till it's twenty or thirty bucks less.

It's funny though, X1 is keen on using the words publishers more often, in relevance to their recent info, yet they're designing it in a way that the publishers will take advantage of this.


Microsoft is trying to shift the blame to publishers which is gonna hurt them the most

And them leaving it up to the Publishers can hurt companies like GameStop and others that would damage us

Generally speaking, yes they do. Not necissarily "sound better", but they have a unique sound. Don't mistake convenience for quality.

I prefer books for many reasons...but the most obvious is...when the power goes out, I can still read my books.

As for games, I prefer discs because I enjoy something tangible. I also like OWNING something, rather than just having a license to use it. Also, it's good to have something for posterity. My NES games are still around, as will my X360 and PS3 games. The X1 games will NOT still be around in 20 years, unless re-released.

Graphics don't bother me, guy bring dragged along by a motorcycle for apparently the entire game as the "quirk" of the game is almost offensively stupid...

In terms of gameplay, the actual visuals - indie games can still have a unique look, but still not been "technical" in the graphics sense.  This game just looks like something a Kellogs game would be made out of, or a tie in movie game.

Ah. You have a problem with the art style. That's better. I'm just tired of people being hung up on the absence of some of the technical aspects of more graphically impressive games like a Witcher 2, Gears of War or Uncharted

Depends on what I'm looking for. And you're not disproving my point. Why are PS1 Virtual Fighter graphics not acceptable on a machine that has moved beyond them?

Bought all the parts for my gaming PC today. Fully integrating into the PC master race instead of buying XbONE, or PS4.

In the past there were game ideas that couldn't be done on an older gen. An example of this is Hideo Kojima pretty much creating the stealth genre because of technical limitations of the hardware at the time that didn't allow a lot of action on screen. Or Super Mario moving into 3 dimensions because of the technical advancements of the N64. My point is that meaningful game design has stagnated despite advancements in graphics in recent years. Pushing the pretty 'splosions to the next level hasn't done anything so i question if we even need a next-gen after this point if all we're getting is more photorealistic graphics.
