IGN Xbox One/ PS4 versus results are in. It was brutal.
If that is even partially represenative of gamers as a whole...
Microsoft cannot be happy.

Trust is a two way street - (paraphrasing) "You don't trust me to not play illegal games, why should I trust you with a camera and mic in my living room?"

20% of Americans don't have internet access.
Microsoft has taken 1/5 of the American population out of possibility for their console. They better hope that 20% isn't stocked full of Xbox customers.

Don't like how it frames legitimate yet actionless distrust toward MS as equivalent to MS' acted upon and questionable distrust of all gamers, implying invasive DRM is ok now because we know that feel, big bro.ShepnTali wrote...
I saw a good, pithy post on the Xbox One forum.

Havent you seen Microsoft latest TV adverts though where they promise to protect your privacy?
Surely they wouldn't lie and hand over a load of personal details to the US Government like they did a couple years back...

Is this the same case with any other country that sells the Xbox or Xbox 360, or any console in that case? I believe a whooping 60% of the people worldwide don't use the Internet make that so.

I'm glad you included the ECJ ruling on software copyright licenses, as it shoots the publishers claims full of holes. Although it also explains why they want cloud in everything, or an online component to side step the law.

Here's the summary and the full case details can be found in the link. It's an interesting read, but I'm a big geek when it comes to contract and commercial law.

A guy at my work who plays a PS3, is about twenty years older than me and about as far and removed from this sort of internet discussion as people who don't even know what an Xbox is, started asked me if I was happy with the Xbone since he'd heard some news about it. Stuff like pre-owned fees and frequent onling requirments and the price are concerns for a lot more than just the loud-mouths on the forums.MegaSovereign wrote...
Some of you guys have been saying that many people will buy the Xbox One because they're oblivious to the DRM policies. Well last night my friends brought it up and they seemed to be pretty annoyed to say the least. And since these policies will affect game rentals and game trading it's hard to believe that the majority of gamers wouldn't have at least heard about them.
