Not getting an Xbone is easy.
We are all on edge with negative anticipation from Sony, but the reports are hopeful. We know it won't require internet at all. We know it allows used games, and it won't have DRM from Sony. There are also a wide range of encouraging reports, some stating that Sony had something similar in place for used games but nixed it to give them a competitive advantage. Dorito man claims a Sony executive told him that.
I'm optimistic but nervous. But I think Sony is going to obliterate Xbone and announce on stage in the spotlight our wildest hopes, the euphoria will resonate throughout the console market, and the rest of their gamer centric, gamer and game focused console with great specs and sweet games will blow away their competitor in the core gamer market with ease. They maneuvered brilliantly up until now and has Xbox on the ropes.
If not, time for a market reset for gaming. The market is ultra fragile, as some have noted, and there will simply be a purge and reset. In console gaming. And it may never be the same again.
There is also Nintendo, which is where I will be if need be.
But Sony is in a good place. I think even publishers are shaken by our backlash. Our market reaction is unprecedented, and I sensed extreme nervousness from Activision CEO today. Billions of their dollars are on the table, and sofar the market has shown the massive and complete natural rejection since these new measures counter the market's consumer demand.
