Really though, how could the DRM be worse than the current one? Facial scan through Kinect? DNA Test?
And before someone comes and calls "untrusty source!" out, that guy is quite reliable. If he says so, it's probably right. Was never wrong before as far as I know.
And honestly, I can't understand why more people aren't absolutely furious about the X1. It couldn't possibly be more hostile to the consumer if it tried! I mean, really. Like one commenter mentioned on one of Angry Joe's rants, it all but requires a blood sacrifice. It's beyond ridiculous. If people happily accept this level of intrusion and trampling on consumer rights, then they deserve the dystopian world they are eagerly marching toward.

I think everyone is excited for the wrong reasons, which I find pretty darn hilarious.
Ditto. We're all lining up along the tracks, waiting for the trainwreck, crossing our fingers to see if the second train also derails or stays on the tracks.

I hear that the Xbox 4 will require you to have a microchip implanted under your skin so that they'll know if you walk in to a Gamestop.Jayne126 wrote...

The way I see it this is just an attempt to adjust to the changing market.. They always go to the harshest standards to see what they can get away with then the go with what they really wanted and everyones happy. If they started with what they really wanted they would have a weaker position to fall back to. As for this DRM being Xbox exclusive I doubt it. The publishers would have no doubt as for sony to do something similar otherwise hold back games they can't control from the PS4. Sony won't want to give Microsoft the advantage of the Big publisher Exclusive.
And Microsoft has already stated the used game fees are driven by the publishers and not them, though no doubt they get their cut too. If we don't buy them at a high fee, then the fee will drop.. They always start high. I really don't see the big deal, because I haven't been able to really buy a used PC game since the late 90s anyway. What I hoping will be the result of this is that since used games will be controlled by the publishers they will more easily be able to drop the cost of the game without competing with the used market.. Just look at steam sales for an example of this.

Because Microsoft obviously needs a scapegoat so they don't look like complete donkeys. The Cel wrote...

I'm sorry, my friend, but I think you're dreaming. Microsoft will never give a discount when they could have an increase instead. The X1 = Microsoft's monopoly, and they can charge whatever the hell they want once they get people locked in with their console. See their practices with the 360 as an example. I don't see them going Steam's route, since they will have effectively killed their only competition (used games).

Lol, quite possibly. Plus, I know a *lot* of rural US areas that have trouble with poor internet connections. So suddenly all games have intermittent problems related to poor internet quality?ShepnTali wrote...
Have we reached the breaking point for consoles? I mean, wasn't the purpose to be convenience and mainstream ease of use. Now Xbox One's user system is literally more convoluted than a PC.

I saw sales of the 360 all the time.. I got a lot of games for 10 buck on the market place. But look at the profit Gamestop was making, that is ridiculous.
