I'd like to see Sebastian return for Dragon Age 3

Kirkwall's definitive rulers died at the end of Dragon Age 2 (the Viscount and Knight Commander). The Champion is a possible ruler, but also disappears at some point.

Sebastian is the only (living) notable member of Free March royalty and very much alive no matter how you played the game. You can bet this guy has a role to fill in Dragon Age 3.

I agree with the OP - Sebastian was a terrific character. He stood out to me because he was the first truly sympathetic pro-Chantry character since Leliana, and his backstory and its implications for the Free Marches is just chock full of potential. I would strongly vote for a returning Sebastian in DA3.

I wonder if the devs can answer the question of whether or not Sebastian will be seen in Inquisition? Is his story done, since Exalted March didn't happen, and his writer is no longer with Bioware?

No, No.. Noooo!! Seb was as forgetable as they come in terms of Dragon Age Companions, i'd go so far as to say he is the most forgetable companion thus far in all 2.5 games.

I can't stand him! But I think he would be a good NPC in DAI for sure.

But is his story scrapped?

I think that's a safe bet at this point.

If you acquired the Exiled Prince DLC, then I would expect (or at least hope) to hear some NPC comment that Sebastian took back the throne of Starkhaven. Perhaps if Anders is alive, the person might add "and the prince is offering a heavy reward for the head of that rebel mage." And if Anders is dead and Hawke romanced him, the NPC says he heard the Champion married Sebastian.

But that's about it.

Actually I could very easily see Sebastian leading a group of templars intent on killing all mages if Hawke romanced Anders and spared him after he blew up the Chantry. Really hoping that's the case since I need to shove a fireball down Choir Boy's throat.

I would love him to return if i can kill him
I just hate sefl righteous characters that always look for others to do his job, having big words but when you tell him "okay, bring it on ?" one on one, the coward go away and say " I'll be back with an army".

He act like this lil kids always playing high and mighty when they are with their tall friends, and escape like rats when they know they can't do ****, braging about how much he will kick your ass once he call for his dady and big brothers to beat one guy and think it's justice.

I imediatly uninstaled the DLC in DA2 after my first playthouth to have a better game experience for my second run.

I like him , he was a bit bland ...but his accent and the way he's so into it.
I mean his party banter , some are priceless...
By the end , I didn't kill Anders and he was all "I will come back bla bla bla "...
I was so unimpressed , I mean it's Sebastien.
He probably doesn't even have an army left , no circle in Starkhaven .
It's like he has this great future as beggar prince ...

It's possible we might see Sebastian again. Perhaps the Inquisitor might have a choice between siding with either Sebastian or the individuals who killed his family and took the throne of Starkhaven, since the protagonist will travel across Thedas dealing with problems all across the continent.

Beggar Prince... He'll get a molten crown of gold... semi-confirmed as a possible rumor in DAI.

I liked him, but I was a rouge and I already took Varric with me, along with Anders (who I hated in DA2 even though he was great in Awaking, but you need a healer if you aren't one) and Avaline, unless it was someone's story mission; so I didn't get to take him as much as I'd have liked. I'd like him to come back. As an NPC is best.

Of course we never got to Starkhaven in DA2.
So it should be interesting to finally go there.

I think we will see him, given his threats and the Exalted March expansion content that reportedly is being incorporated into Inquisition instead. I hope to see him, but only under two conditions: he's either a wiser man than he was at the end of DA2, or else the Inquisitor has a chance to school him in the dangers of being flighty and impulsive.

Love him, hate him, anything in between, it would make a lot of sense for Sebastian to return.

Considering just for in game gathering allies to fight the inquisition, I could seriously seeing the inquistor marching around that area to gain all the free march cities support against the inquisition.

You're just now realizing that?

And I'm not sure how many babies a chaste marriage is going to produce.

I'm 'eh' about Sebastian. I don't like him or dislike him. He was flat, uninteresting. I didn't care whether he wanted to be a chantry brother or prince of Starkhaven. I pushed him towards being prince because I feel that's what he truly wanted in the end. He declares war on Kirkwall regardless if you let Anders live. Might as well make him prince :P

I hope he appears. Just to make him a bit more interesting. God willing, I hope he destroyed Kirkwall, too. It's not like my mage Hawke cared too much. She and Fenris hightailed it out of there :P

Eh, nothing really interesting would happen for my canon playthrough. He would just be a brother again and not have much reason to get involved in the war since the Chantry isn't getting attacked by either side (afaik) and I killed Anders.

It would be good to see Sebby again.

That said i do hope he does play some impact he does come around; Mainly because he is decidedly an Anti Mage Noble.

Need more of those in the game; People willing to overlook the lies and excuses robes will use to scream at people while draining their bodies dry of blood.

I thought Sebastian was boring and a self righteous pansy. Not a fan. But I suppose if we heard some tidbit about Starkhaven that would be fine.

I would thrilled and a half to see Sebastian again. He's a delightful character, really humanized the end of DAII for me.
