I hate guns that don't deliver and seeing that the PPR is one that does, it's a shame I don't use it more often. Now considering its weight and mechanics I don't feel like slapping it on a kit with lots of power use.

Therefore: give me your favorite kits that do well with the Prothean Fisherprice Rifle.

And now the twist: Except Destroyer.

Yes. Though it's good on anything, I'd argue, I definitely prefer it on classes which do not need to spam powers that will break the filthy, hot beam of that girthy PPR.

I have a lot of fun playing the Collector Adept soldier style with the PPR. 40% DR from the seekers give him quite some meat, plus he gets the damage boost for prothean weapons from the passive tree - also it looks awesome on him.

The other day I used it on a MQI, team was really impressed by the melting rate. Tac scanned Atlas goes down on plat in a single extended clip (AP ammo).

Tsol, Ghost and GI just wreck things with the PPR, but it gets old quickly.

I've found the best trick with the gun is to use weapon powers after it has spooled up. Adrenaline rush can work remarkably well with it, as will tac cloak. The biggest issue is having a character that can take a few hits while you are exposed.

I'd caution using marksman as it may cause problems with depleting the weapon.

The Juggernaut.

No, really. Stick on a thermal clip mod and with the Jugg's passives (preferably without power transfer,) you can keep the full beam firing for ages, and the extra stagger resistance makes it hard for the enemy to stop you. Plus it means you don't have to waddle off to find an ammo crate every 2 minutes.
