With only 10 days or so to go, why has this topic been resurrected? Import your FemShep in 10 days and ogle her if you must or redesign her then. I'm a female with a FemShep, and I don't see much of a point in asking about this yet again...

The closer to release it gets the crazier and more bored/desperate/impatient people will get.

There is no need for such rudeness, guys. Honestly. I don't think you really understand what some of these girls felt through ME1. They felt alienated because no one ever mentioned female characters (although devs said you could be one.) You can't brush off a question like that with a roll of your eyes, alright? That isn't fair.



They want a pic of femsheps because:



1. They are curious if their character will look better

2. They feel they have right to ask



The excuse for not showing different shepards is, what? They are worried someone will get confused. Yeah, I am sure that makes them feel better.

come on now we gotta have good advertising and that means get as many people as you can interested...you show a hint of a female as a main character and i bet they lose 10% of potential customers who will quickly judge assume and forget about buying altogether because of it.Nothing personal just business.

They haven't shown of femshep's because they haven't shown off the character creator. Femsheps are all made with the face morpher (Default maleshep is sculpted). When you compare amount of femsheps with unique faces for malesheps, it's the same amount.

Oh man theres more then one casual outfit?? I thought there was just changing the color. But this is awesome, I hate that normal short sleeved shirt, really glad there are different ones.

There is no canon Shepard. They deliberately were vague about Shepard's sex in the second book (I think it was the second?) and the comics so far, and the Shepard they advertise with is the "iconic" Shepard. He's the face they use to advertise Mass Effect, but not the canon. I'm sure by the third game they're going to declare him the canon Shepard, but until then my canon Shepard is female, and it wouldn't hurt them to release some screenshots or videos from someone playing as a fem!Shep.

No offense meant I am just saying that they have acknowledged she exists but I doubt there will be official shots of her in the official gallery.  That would be tantamount to official shots of custom male Shepherds which they don't show either.

I never use default Shepherd myself, but I don't get upset if they don;t show custom Shepherds of either gender on the site.

Maybe not the same to you, but I am just saying they are being consistent in showing the same image which for a promotion blitz seems fitting.

I played ME1 first as default male shep. Voice acting from him was pretty "meh" .... then on my new game, I decided to try femshep. The difference in quality of voice acting is night and day difference.

The actress for femshep actually knows how to apply proper tone and inflection in her dialogue. Default shep is practically monotone and almost sounds like he's reading from a book.

For the best example in quality of their voice acting in ME1, go to the scene where you finally get the Normandy for yourself and are preparing to leave the station... you have to give the crew your speech before taking off.

Listen to male shep say it ... then do it again with femshep (make the same dialogue choices though to keep it fair)... the actress' delivery of the lines sent a shiver down my spine. Was genuinely inspiring - it stirred resolve in me.... I felt nothing of the sort from male sheperd.

I forget the voice actresses' name, but I googled it a few months ago.. she's done a lot of voice work for animated shows, anime and games too.

Quite talented.

again it wouldn't hurt BW in the slightest for them to show a few pics and/or a vid or two of femshep.

I think its close enough that if people get confused, then they would be confused reguardless.

I'd be happy with some shots too so I can see if i'll be stuck with the same clay helmet (i.e. hair options) from ME. Such beautiful character models, but the hair options...yikes!

Those are just awesome considering their low quality, the casual outfit looks snazzy! Can't wait to see all the femshep I need when the game arrives, worrying about how I didn't get to see screenshots of somebody elses version of her will be the last thing on my mind in 11/12 days.

You're very welcome. I just want you to know that not including femsheps isn't like Bioware is trying to spite us. I know how you feel because all of my shepards are femsheps. Sheploo's just their posterboy, the world isn't ready for a kick expletive awesome female sci fi heroine in a video game as it's poster girl yet
