I really hope so and if they aren't at first I hope they patch them in. There are very few games with avatar rewards it seems like no one wants to make them.

I doubt EA will give them for free when they can sell them. I only bought the $1 eyepatch......they'll have to do better in that area if they want my money though.

Avatars are stupid and ridiculous. Totally unnecessary. I dressed mine up as Abe Lincoln. Gamer pictures, on the other hand, are cool. I hope there are more unlockables with this one.

Wouldn't mind some N7 armor, but as that's already being sold on the Marketplace (for an obscene amount of money, too), I doubt we'll get it as an Award.

We'll probably get more gamer pictures, though. I recently switched back to my N7-one from the first Mass Effect, and it still looks awesome.

wouldn't bet on it, but hopefully there will be lots of new avatar items.

They've proven they don't mind making avatar items, I guess it's just a case of whether or not they've made a lot of money from the ME ones. If they have, they probably wouldn't give ME2 ones away for free, but if it's kind of been a bust, they might not be so bothered about having avatar awards.

Or maybe they'll have something like, 20 new things to buy and 5 new things to earn in game. I dunno, it's all a bit ridiculous. I don't mind free stuff, it's just another little thing to work towards and another way of showing off your favourite games aside from gamer pics. Although I will admit, the only thing I ever bought from that Avatar Marketplace is the Garrus Eyepiece. It looked cool, and come on, 80 points? That's nothing.

I wont argue with ya on that one.

Makes me think of the Mii360 lol

But ya kno it would be nice to see some devs take advantage of the feature now that we have it.
What gets me are the dumb people that actually spend the outragous price on some of them avatar marketplace items....
SOOOO over priced.
I might not be so against that crap if say everything was at least half the price.... but what do you expect from MS.

Avatars give personality that static and often crappy gamer pictures do not.

Bought that one too. It made me wish I could turn my avatar into a turian, too.

In any case, I'm sporting the ODST armor now. It's free, and it looks awesome.

Bioware wanted them for DAO but they started filing the rest of their XBL credentials(Achievements/Gamerscore/Videos) too early before the program was opened to have that filed as well. DAO was delayed several months and ended up coming out after the program but the items were still never put in for. There's a chance we may see them filed/inserted with ME2 since it was intended as an early 2010 launch since E3, whether it actually makes it or not is yet to be seen.

You won't get a dev answer till Monday since devs have the weekend off. These forums will be moderated tomorrow and you may see a reply but based on the current level of silence from the devs on this subject I wouldn't bet on it.

But I am sure they check the PM's and the devs to post on the weekends.

They dont get paid to be in the forums, That is Chris P. job.The rest of the devs, the ones that come here, do it cuz they enjoy it, or want to. They dont have to post ANYTHING on the forums, so sending one of them a PM on a weekend dont mean it wont be checked till monday.

Technically yes, you are right. But from expirience you won't see an answer till Monday, the folks at Bioware check the forums for fun but it's also because it's their job. They're like teachers or archeologists in this way. They may enjoy their work but it is work. Example, the folks at Bioware got a break from work between Christmas and New years, during this time we didn't see anyone. Not even Chris because they were all on break, the weekends are a similar scenario.

Yes I think it will be in the game. I can't see any reason not to put it in.

I liked that, but it seemed a bit too all-encompassing for my tastes. Like I said, I figure the avatars are a good way to show what games you like. Got the Halo Monitor, a L4D2 t-shirt, the Garrus Eyepiece. Still leaves room for other game related bits if they should arrive.

Nothing wrong with Avatars they're fun. However I havent paid yet for a single add on for them. I wont buy anything for them, I hate the fact that they are profiting even more off of those things
