Yeah because all you do in ME2 is fight the backwater-rag tag Terminus systems, you know the area of space the council is afraid to ****** off.  Yep no Geth, Collectors, or Krogan Battlemasters either.

Use your brain. Why shild protection in Terminus is uncommon?Costs. They dont have the money for modern technology.
There afraid to "****** of" because regardless of this a war with terminus would cost still lot of victims.
Maybee mostly in the way of terrorst attacks like planned in bringing down the sky.
But the council would win it,no doubt about that.

Yup, lord forbid you prefer TACTICAL combat over close eyes and pull trigger combat!

Were you doing the side missions? I seriously have to ask because I manage to reach the money cap before even doing Virmire each and every time.

I'd do the majority of side missions, I think the only one I never did was the rachni one because honestly by the time I got to it I was ready to give up on the game because the sidequests were so boring.

I'd love to see this writeup on evolving powers because the only time I've seen anything on poweres an abilities is in the class videos where they show your char screen but don't mouse over everything so I can't see the progression of powers.

Go on IGN and look for the class videos. Each one features a short interview with Christina Norman, where she explains the class in-depth and gives some possibilities.

I watched the videos already, unless they differ from the ones on the ME site and the only thing they ever focused on was the special abilities of that class but they don't touch on branching skills or if they do, they make it seem like no matter what you get that ability.

Just because someone disagrees doesn't make them a troll. People play a game for different reasons or care more about one aspect then another and don't want to even perceive that the entire reason the bought the game has been infringed upon, i.e. I don't like feeling that the game is being dumbed down to make it more shooter friendly.

the people who are complaining or saying the new systems suck have not even played the game yet.
people keep making assumptions about the game.
I am looking forward to the changes personally.
i believe the new inventory system will be more effecient and i welcome the feature to customize the armor and look of shepard  for both tatical and well for looks in general.
i am also glade for the new ammo system that is in place.
i like that ammo types are powers now because i find it tactically pleasing that i can change ammo types on the fly to deal with different enemies.
also with the new ammo system I will have to use all weapons at my dissposal instead of upgrading one that never overheats like some people did in ME1.
i have never had ammo problems in CoD, halo or any other shooters that i have played.
also ME has had the richest and most excellent RPG experience that i have had the pleassure to play and i do not believe that the cahnges made for the sequel will not change my opinion on that, but will further my love of the series.
im ot saying that these changes will be a good thing. im not saying they will be a bad thing.
im saying i look forward to playing the game and going further into the fiction that i love.
i look forward to the changes that they made, but i also look forward to the endless possibilites that come with playing the first and second game and eventually the third.

I would just point out that no one saying that the system will be great has played the game either.  Like I aid earlier, I'm still excited for the game and believe I will really enjoy it, I better enjoy it I'm taking time off of work to play it.  That doesn't however mean that there aren't things that worry me and that I'm not going to voice these conerns.

Ammo is good. Real good. If you don't like ammo go play singularity + shockwave and get imba achievement making enemies screaming and burning alive from friction. Also you can train yourself, being more resilient to ammo-rpg frustration. Go get Fallout 3 and kill metro zombies with assault rifle using V.A.T.S.

People trusted Blizzard not to destroy WoW but depending on who you talk to the changes are either great or ruined the game.  There is no right or wrong, different people want different things.

bioware has made the changes based on feed back people gave them from ME1
i have confidence and am possitive about ME2 and bioware :D

Yes, the SAME devs that promised conversation interupts in ME1, The same ones who told us there would be tons of DLC that brigded ME to ME 2, the SAME devs that brought us Pinnicale Station....

So exsqueeze me if I dont buy into all the hype about it being an improvement when they take what worked but could have been improved apon and scrapped it for a dumbed down generic shooter mechanic.....

and what is an rts?

last time i checked we are getting interupts this time around
we are getting great graphics with no hick ups
the game should have better pacing
note....we havnt played it yet to all this is not set in stone.
but im willing to look past the small faults before

and if you really want to think about all the negatives when was the last time a developer kepp ALL promises.

so

I have yet to say I hate ME2. Infact I have said that with the exception of the stupid ammo system that I think the rest of the changes look great and will be fairly enjoyable when my copy of the CE version gets here.

I personally think its stupid to have scrapped the combat system from the first game instead of improving apon it.
Instead they scrapped it for a generic shooter mechanic. That dont impress me. Then they add feul management for your ship.. again just seems like artifical game lengthing instead of packing it with good content.

Then there was the point back in July when it was confimed that NG+ was removed form it and the backlash got very very heated.
Magicly last month it was announced that NG+ was back in the game because as many pointed out it adds that extra amount of game play for those who enjoy reusing the stronger Shep.

Well ammo is just another fluff (at least it is to me) when the same thing could be accomplished with improving the passive cooling system and better balancing the mods for the weapons.

on a side note, I am only pissed about the 4 main weapon types needing this ammo system, I totally agree with the new heavy weapons requiring ammo, so you cant spam the mini nuke the whole game. But I am against the pistols, snipers, shotguns and AR's also requiring this ammo system.

i never said one certain person hated the game.

and im not impressed by the new ammo system.
nor does it ****** me off that they didnt improve on the old one.
i like my generic reloading. and im not worried one bit.
ive played through mass effect at least a dozen times and on the note of ammo system i was okay with heating.
but the new system is technically still heat.
you dont use clips. you are replacing heat syncs
and instead of counting up to over heat your counting down to how many shoots you have left before a new heat sync is needed.
and im happy for the new galaxy map interface.
it should give players more of a feeling of direct control of the normandy and were is goes and scans.
planets are not predetermined to scan and i am greatly thrilled by it ll new asspects of ME2

oh and they have improved combat and the cover system. everything is supposed to be more fluid and less cluncky and now that i think about it the ammo/heat systems are the same.
ME1- it counted up and you had to wait for it to cool
ME2- counts down how many shoots you have left. only wait is reload time

its about the same. i dont see how you can make either better.
ammo is just a generic used all around.
simplified inventory is not bad if it helps with organization

and medi-gel
rechaging shields and health is almost and industry standard

Oh dear, another person that is pissed off because they cant get what they want, similar to a 6 year old!

on a more serious note,
first bold: And to what makes a generic shooter game? Although the RPG concept did make sense in game, the details that back it up seem......very odd indeed. Yes an elite N7 grad, highest in the alliance military!.....cant shoot a target that nearly right in your face....hhmmmm

second bold:
Fuel management makes you think.....so how is it artifically lengthing the game? BW probably has upgrades with the SR-2 Normandy that would almost remove the need for fuel.....second of all, it did state in the codex that all ships, although they have a FTL core, need a conventation engine to make the ship move.

Third bold:
Although this would have been an acceptable system, BW has already made its choice.....and theres nothing that we can do to stop it......soooo why complain?Image IPB

What's so wrong with ammmoo....eh, thermal clips? it probablly has the facts all written down on the ME2 codex......

Combat in ME was funky, as getting into cover was hardly needed after several levels

Oh well, im just ranting on, just another two cents, and people will always complain.......
