Okey lets get to the point... Dragon Age is a great game by all means and... I consider it tries to deliver a realistic view on things (not on magic and races, but relations between people, politics and such). What I found most "unrealistic" in this way in the game were love/sex scenes... i tell you they are awful.

I had in-game romance with Morrigan + Leliana... well both are not completely naked in love/sex cutscenes, but that wont be that much of a problem, real problem is my character is always in heavy armor while kissing, having sex etc. So that looks somewhat funny when the woman looks into a closed helmet the guy having greataxe at his back and so on.

Next thing is in the story... i freed werevolves in one quest and they changed into human form and you know what... THEY WERE DRESSED ! Although before they had nothing on them, only their wolf fur. Such a nonsense...

I dont know why censorship has to be so hard... there can be a option for example in "Gameplay" option tab or something like... realistic/censored love scenes. That thing with werevolves was really disappointing I tell you.

what platform you on, well known the pc version at least can glitch by leaving the armour on in the love scenes (its not supposed to be on btw)...

As for the werewolves, god its a game, get over yourself.

theres this beastly group of people in the world called "mothers".

a mob of these creatures can be found outside of every gate of every castle housing every developement team that ever let just one "private" part be shown.

you see, these "mothers" are armed with incredibly powerful weapons known as "lawsuits". Developers fear these "lawsuits" and will do everything in their power to avoid them.

Becuase of these efforts to avoid these apocolyptic weapons, sometimes in their effort to make the weapons' ammunition run dry, developers leave in other things that were completely unintended. these blurbs in developement are known as "glitches".

so if you want nudity in your game, or are bugged with the lack of realism, blame the "mothers" of america. good luck hunting them down, though, many have tried and fallen prey to their "lawsuits".

If you want nudity, there's plenty of places on the internet where you can get your fix.

Given the horrific character models, at least on the console versions, I'm rather pleased you can't get full nudity.

For the nudity thing, if you're on PC check out Dragon Age Nexus, they got what you need. The Werewolf thing, not much can be done. Nudity is still a touchy subject in a few of the major markets and Bioware always attempts to please the masses and will do what they can to please as many people as possible.

Well, had you decided to shave the werewolves before deciding how that scene was going to play out, they probably would have been naked.

*sigh* Why does no one ever think to shave the werewolves?

Solutions.

Blood Dragon armor is bugged, thats why you see it on your character when you shouldn't.Wear another armor or download the fix.

Nudity in Sex and Prison scenes, altho Bioware realesed the game for nudophobic America, there are 2-3 very good and not to mention legal Add-Ins hosted on this very site that circumvent that problem.Namely,Natural Bodies and Amazon Curves.(Also check DragonAgeNexus for more)

Lastly there is sadly no Add-In or option that I know of that can change the textures of the werewolves turned human.I do agree that that's bull****.

You would know all of this if you had spent time browsing this(and similar) websites but alas the internetz are full of good ppl like me helping strangers, why bother?

Here here! Unfortunately its a sign of something worst than that, its something cultural.

The powerful elite is formed by ignorant fools who can't see video-games as a medium just like cinema, literature, etc...

I've seen PG 13 movies with boobs and violence, but god forbids that a Mature, duly marked as such, video-game can have any nudity at all!

Cause we all know video games are for kids right? And lets face it, parents don't really have the time to educate their children by checking in on a huge "M" on the corner of the kid's new brought game, right?...

Its a little offensive really...

Heck you don't even have to check the rating if its a game for console just use the parental control settings >_> Of course if their kid has at least some intelligence they'll be able to fix that but still.

I think nudity on Dragon Age's horrific models would scar me for life.

So, let's encourgae BioWare to make more realistic bodies before we start talking about the boobies, m'kay?

I find nothing wrong with the character models, at least on PC. The armor thing is a bug, so you should be able to DL the fix if you've got the PC version.

And the werewolves thing... How many scenes have the werewolves in human form? One? What's the big deal? I'd rather not see a bunch of naked peasants, thank you very much.

I'm just amused that Morrigan obviously isn't wearing that little strapless number under her clothes. She just cracks it out for the occasional wandering encounter.

For every person that liked that, there'd be another person who'd be turned off. From a business standpoint, no one is going to give the game a pass because you don't see them doff their drawers, but people would if there was full nudity or more graphic sex. And one can assume that they lose the underwear without actually having to see it. It's not necessary.

I dont need nudity in games. Good game doesnt need to have nudity. My concern is about something else. Its all about realism - if they dont want to make the nude scenes with same professional level like they do other thing, then they shouldnt give love/sex scenes in the game at all. I want professionality in all aspects and when you encounter such a great game like DAO then such amateurism Bioware presented in their love scenes just worsens the overall feel. I wouldnt complain if there were no nudity scenes at all, but I do complain about bad nudity scenes. Same with werewolves - I also dont need to see naked peasants, but I want realism - they can make the cutscene like camera showing their backs or whatever. Or making them losing their curse over time so that they leave as werewolves and tell you that they start feeling losing fur or something.

I agree completely. But if the developers decide to implement a love scene scene and the camera angles and lighting they choose divulges certain parts of the human body does simply covering it up make it the best solution? What about the werewolves, is a sacrifice of realism worth the gain from censorship? Nudity is unnecessary, but so is censoring for the sake of censoring.

Glitch.  I've had it happen on about half of my Romance scenes.  (PC version)

Not everything has to be shown, and not everyone wants that level of realism. Do we really want the whole scene with the transformed wolves to take place with the ladies crouching on the ground to cover themselves and the men holding their hands over their privates? Perhaps with the party covering their eyes or looking at the ceiling? If you want realism, you couldn't ignore their reactions to being naked, or the party's reaction, either. The scene becomes about something different.

Something I never understood is how some parents get upset at the nudity/cursing/violence in games and the game clearly has an M rating. Games arent just for kids anymore. But the same parents will let their kids look at an R rated movie.

I don't think we're talking about this issue in terms of kids, but rather in terms of adult--and there are many who think it's fine the way it is.
