You might not care, but Bioware does. They actually want to be successful and sell their game. Remember what happened to GTA when players simply ACCESSED nudity that the developers left in the game, but not accessable? They were forced to change their rating because of nudity that wasn't even a part of the game. You're suggesting Bioware has it several times in their game, but if they did that, as has been said before, they would have been forced to rate it adult and boom, halve their sales.
I'd prefer Bioware was successful with their sales.
Well you just view video games as a commercial product only. I view them as art (some of them). Of course the initial purpose is making money and without it there would be no such great games as DAO, but the developers work as artists and "no nudity" is just a stain on the picture. If you say FPS games are pure commercial, I would agree in most cases. But RPGs have more in them - story, atmosphere, plot twists and such which makes them something of "higher level" or if you want "art" product. Soon the video game models will be so realistic you wont distinguish them from actors in films. And so those video games should be considered same level as films.
Second, I dont think the sales would fall so rapidly as you suggest. On a half? Thats exaggerated. The sales can drop, but not at such level. And as I said, nudity can be an option... like official free DLC on official site if not part of the game package. Even with nudity in DAO sales would be such that it outbalances the costs for making DAO many times.
