Next thing is in the story... i freed werevolves in one quest and they changed into human form and you know what... THEY WERE DRESSED ! Although before they had nothing on them, only their wolf fur. Such a nonsense...

Stuff like this has always existed. I used to get annoyed that when Bruce Banner turned into the hulk, his shorts somehow always stayed on even though he grew 2-3x the size. But then I just didn't care because it wasn't all that important in terms of enjoying the cartoon.

Or they could just allow the game to be modded. Like, you know, DA. Everyone who wants to see "more" in their games can just download an according mod. And everyone else, including those who feel the strange need to tell everyone else how much they don't need this, simply don't download it. Problem solved, and no one can blame BioWare. Easy way out for them, but better than (trying) to disallow mods like some others do.

Personally, as said before, I think the way it was done in Mass Effect was simply the perfect way.

I agree, except that I own the XBox 360 version and am not privy to such mods. My own misfortune, I know.

your wild conspiricy theories do nothing but show that the people who care about this type of thing are the lowest denominator of the human race.

I'm the lowest common denominator of the human race?

i mean jesus christ.

Wait, you are saying Jesus Christ (you should capitalize him if you believe in him, that is about as proper a proper noun a Christian can get) is the lowest common denominator of the human race?

No, that makes no sense in the context of your post - you just mean me.

i probably play around 50-75% of all the games that come out on the pc

How's your sampling of eroge?  What, those are games on the pc.    Here's just one article where people are voting on the best of 2009, and they had 25 places (meaning the number of eroge games released last year exceed 25.)  Have you played even one of those? http://zepy.momotato...of-2009-by-2ch/
Here's an IGN article about The Year in Sex 2009 on the PC.  Did you play 50% of those games that came out on the PC last year? http://pc.ign.com/ar.../1057352p1.html
Let me make it easier for you and skip out of listings of games with sexual content lists.  Here's IGN's list of just SOME PC games that came out in summer of 2009.  Did you play 50% of those even? http://pc.ign.com/ar...6/996142p1.html

No, I get it, hyperbolic statement.

, and i can tell you right now that most of them dont have this type of content, nor do they have these type of people posting in their forums.

The games YOU choose don't, and that's fine.  Check out a forum for people who play eroge games, or GTA, or even Dead Or Alive.  See how many of these kinds of people you find.

i would love for them to just remove it from the game so i could see this minority of
basement dwelling freaks just explode in nerd-rage over losing their virtual sex scenes.
because you know, any normal person wouldnt care about it, and it would be funny to watch.

I'm apparently not normal.  Thanks for calling me a "basement dwelling freak" and the "lowest common denominator of the human race".

I like sex and nudity in my media.  I also like horror films, and gore doesn't bother me in the least.  I like period pieces, cartoons, dramas, comedies ... a whole bunch of stuff.

But I think you are calling me names.  According to you the only people who care about this are "basement dwelling freaks" and are the "lowest common denominator of the human race."

Is that what you are doing?

Because I think that's against forum policy, F-C.

Let me go ask a moderator on that one.

Right. I'm sure they could make a fortune if they released it as a DLC for consoles, but it would also be a PR nightmare.

For PC there is plenty of mods out there to make characters naked, extended sex scenes, and even 80's porn cheesy music if it suits your taste and humor. Like in game like Oblivion and such modders wasted no time in making body mods, and such. If you are playing on a console system though, sorry you are stuck with what you have the Plain Vanilla version of the game.

Keep the insults down folks...F-C while you're opinion that nudity and sex shouldn't be part of games is perfectly valid, starting to insinuate that those that like it are the lowest common denominator of the human race isn't. Tone it down please.

And MerinTB...don't feed the troll dude. :P Egging him on only makes it worse.

I dont think he fed him... more like burnt him to a crisp.

I could care less either way about the nudity and such, but if your gonna go for it have it make a little sense. In the heat of the moment Morrigan goes and puts some granny panties and a HUGE bra on? Come on. And leli strikes me as the type that would go commando for the "freedom" of movement in combat.

I took my time. Played the game slowly and let the story build up. Then 60 something hours in BAM a girl who dress's half naked as is ends up covering more of her naughty bits in a love scene then she does normally. Really now?

I am thinking the American culture, such as it is.

My apologies.  It was rather infuriating, he's been doing the same thing for awhile now, and I thought I was being as constructive and positive as possible while still pointing out the silliness of some of his less abusive statements.

But I can see that it could indeed be a form of baiting.

Did you just indirectly call F-C a troll? :?

This thread is getting ridiculous. Bioware had their reasons not to include full nudity. There are many fans, who felt they wanted it, and some creative member of the community created a mod providing it.
So, especially by now there is not much left to discuss. Besides this topic has already been repeatedly discussed.

Is there a mod for PS3? If not, they'd better get it out.

Can't mod PS3 or 360. Closest I've seen is an edited save for Fallout 3 with crates full of modded guns and the like.

If your expecting a full nude sex scene on a console port you're being ridculous >_>

Do people even bother reading the ESRB?

I sort of assumed the PS3-er wanting a nude mod was joking. I could be wrong, though.

After being on this forum for a while you stop assuming people's joking well at least I did anyways. There's only so many times you can put some faith into someone before stopping. <_<

I think the problem with using any of the 3rd party nudity mods is that they are, well, blatant. Compare the love scenes with what you would see in a movie (and no I don't mean that kind of movie) or for that matter what you get in other RPG:s like Mass Effect or the Witcher. Notice the difference?

It's a question of taste. It's all about angles, suggestion and lighting, none of which DA:O has. You get tacky instead of tasteful.

Hmmm....well, it does seem odd to have the old knickers on in a few scenes. But I sympathize with Bioware's market issues. The camera angles worked in the tent scene fairly well, I thought.

My fault for having spent some time doing historical reenactment, but the modern undergarments bothered me (actually, the men's aren't too far off some medieval examples, to be fair). Bras are a relatively recent invention. But it's fantasy, I suppose, or Morrigan would have fallen out of her mages robes in the first fight scene.

As Zevran would say, magic bosom :D

Why is there this myth that if you are a adult you must like virtual sex? I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Nor do I think there is anything wrong with those who are into it. I think virtual sex is just lame. I play games to do things I can't do in real life, slay dragons, explore the vastness of space, save the world etc. Following this logic there seems to be alot of sex repressed people out there. But hey, it is a free country and to each his own. The sex and partial nudity in DAO is just a annoyance to an otherwise near flawless game. I do have to give credit to the produces of the Gears of War games, Modern Warfare II, and Brutal Legend who had the balls to put graphic or controversial material in there games and mantain their artistic integrity but at the same time have enough respect for the end users to allow them to taylor fit thier game experience to thier own peference/life style. Getting sweaty palms over some virtual babe is not a sign of maturity or immaturity. It is a matter of personal choice. Lets be tolerent and open minded enough to allow for both view points.

Can you **** an elf or demon in real life? You don't have to be sexually repressed to like nudity in video games. Sex is an inevitability in any romantic relationship sooner or later. Since the main plot can be affected based on the romances you decide to pursue then sex in this game has a place and is in no way annoying. Nudity does not make or break this game but the lack of it feels more out of place then it's presence would.

Someone should take one of those National Geographic videos of woman in the amazon and photoshop in a bra and underwear.

lol I think that its funny that they are not fully nude but thats ok Sex isn't the main reason in this game yes its a plus but not really needed they coulda gone back to the Fable way of doing scenes where its a black screen and all you hear is moaning and talking lol that would be funny but still at least you get a sex scene! ...men and their obsession with nudity in games! lol

Xbox/PS3:

Remove Morrigan's default robe then re-equip it. Zoom in on her chest so the camera clips through her clothing.

Enjoy your nudity.

theres this beastly group of people in the world called "mothers".
a mob of these creatures can be found outside of every gate of every castle housing every developement team that ever let just one "private" part be shown.
you see, these "mothers" are armed with incredibly powerful weapons known as "lawsuits". Developers fear these "lawsuits" and will do everything in their power to avoid them.
Becuase of these efforts to avoid these apocolyptic weapons, sometimes in their effort to make the weapons' ammunition run dry, developers leave in other things that were completely unintended. these blurbs in developement are known as "glitches".
so if you want nudity in your game, or are bugged with the lack of realism, blame the "mothers" of america. good luck hunting them down, though, many have tried and fallen prey to their "lawsuits".

Those are also know as "American!!! mothers, Austrailian!!!!!!!!! Mother of..." and such... Mothers EVERYWHERE is NOT like that, only in countries with hazy double standards...

Non-british Europe is way more relaxed, and actually understand that grown people can govern themselves quite alot and nudity never killed anyone, apart from the crazy old nudist whio froze to death last christmas but meh!

*Hmmm Austrailia has the worst ever Game-censorship, and USA is silly when they realize nipples exist, both are old Brit colonies, coincidence?*

I didn't read the whole thread but I agree with the OP, particularly about the werewolves. It ruins the immersion and realism. It all seems dumbed-down and simplified and not what I would expect from Bioware.

I would think that game released in 2010 would be more consistent and polished,  especially from Bioware.

Sirkrowa you completetly miss the point of my post. First of all there have been many, many great games made - many with romantic plot threads with out the need for nudity/sexual content. To say that it is needed goes against the entire history of video games. But that is not my point. My point is that just as it is right and fair in a free country for people to mod their game to make it more graphic, it is just as right and fair in a free country for people to mod their game to make it less graphic. Many of the people in this forum demonize people just because they have a different view of nudity than thier own. With todays tech we can allow people to enjoy the game their way. Things are different now because have become more and more graphic so the idea of toning games down with mods is a new idea, because in the past games were tame enough so people only needed mod to make things more graphic. Things have now changed.
