Finally completed Arrival and this time after the SM. Now a few things came  to mind from playing the mission :

1. It was too easy to rescue the good Dr from that Batarian base
2. The clock is showing that there is just 2 days and 3 hours before the Reaper fleet invasion.. so if its just two days and counting  the Arrival mission should be done before SM... no point of the SM if its going to end in 2 days of Hackett getting in touch.
3. Harbinger showing up right at the end of the mission totally lacks the real menace and impact that Shep's first contact with Sovereign at Virmire. That scene on Virmire is simply epic .. one of the best I have seen in any game. Infact the scene with Harbinger in Arrival really does not make sense and adds nothing - theres simply no menace or threat  in it at all.
4. Did any Batarian's survive if you warned them of the collision ? There was two hours and counting before impact so some must have been able evacuate before the destruction of the relay.
5. How does Shep end up being arrested in ME3 if you decided not to hand him/herself in after the meeting with Hacket?   As shep was working for Cerberus in ME2 and not a member of the Alliance, and in my case was still free how could they possibly attempt to court martial in ME3 ?

I'm glad I finished the mission ( i had to force myself to do it) but its a major let down in terms  of what it could and should have been -  the script is poor, the lack of squad mates on the mission, Dr Kenson's voice is annoying, and the ending with Harbinger is totally wasted.

1. It is only easy depending on your class, playstyle, and/or if you want to complete it one shot (no loading auto-saves). Actually, only really that last part. Oh the joys of recording gameplay to post on the Internet.

2. It is only 2 days away the moment you arrive on the Asteroid.

3. Harbinger is not the menace Sovereign was, if only because we know what the Reapers are this time around. Plus he has been trash-talking you for 3 missions so it lacks Sovereign's one-and-only speech on Virmire.

4. No Batarians survive. Dr. Kenson interrupts your transmission. Oh how I hate her...

5. No idea. I think I have one (maybe two) non-Arrival Shepards ready for import but I have not imported them yet. I think Shepard may be arrested for working for Cerberus, a known terrorist group. You could try searching YouTube or starting a non-import ME3 game to see for yourself.

Hey RedC..

1. This time around was playing as a Vanguard and it was pretty easy even on Insanity. The first time was as an infiltrator and that was a little harder esp when attempting to break out once captured by the Dr and her team. As a vanguard - really easy. LSOB, Overlord and Kasumi's were all hard.

2. I understand but still the timings not exactly great.

3. I think they should have just left him out - it should have had the same feel and effect .. watching Sovereign consistently has the same awe inspiring effect even after playing ME1 quiet a few times. So they missed a trick with Harbinger.

4. Ahhh ok.. I was under the impression that the transmission still went thro. I don;t know who thy chose to voice kenson .. but ....

5. Started a new ME3 non import - and there's no mention of Cerberus at the start, whereas the import from ME2 states it was for deaths of over 300k Batarians.
